Recently, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) chaired the meeting with Prof. Stéphane Ngo Mai - Vice President in charge of Strategy and Development, University of Côte d’Azur (UCA), France. Attending the meeting were Prof. Le Thanh Nhan - Director of Danang International Institute of Technology, UD (DNIIT), representatives of the International Cooperation, R&D Departments of UD and offices of UD’s member universities (University of Economics and University of Technology and Education-UD).

Overview of the meeting

At the meeting, Prof. Stéphane Ngo Mai - Vice President of UCA highly appreciated the cooperation results between the two universities, especially the research cooperation through the DNIIT (established in 2017) with the Smart Campus Campaign held annually in order to find and develop ideas and solutions to build the "Smart University" campus at UD. Prof. Stéphane Ngo Mai affirmed that UCA will continue to support DNIIT Institute to implement the joint training program of Master of E-Tourism (granted by Nice Sophia Antipolis University); continue to deploy 06 joint research groups between UCA and UD; deploy 10 joint research projects; organize international scientific events, seminars and conferences; expand Smart Campus competition across Danang city; promote exchange of lecturers and students within Erasmus + Program...

 Speaking at the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of UD, acknowledged and highly appreciated the positive results between UD and UCA since the two sides established a cooperative relationship since 2006, such as: Master Training Program in Computer Science, Water Resources Management, MBA and Embedded Systems; Training 20 masters and PhDs of UD at Nice Sophia Antipolis University; Coordinating to successful implementation of many major international cooperation projects (EMMAsia Project, AUF Project of PhD training under the co-supervision model, MIRE Project in the field of health care, ERAMUS + Project); Coordinating to organize many major international conferences (RUNSUD every 3 years in 2010, 2013, 2016, IEEE RIVF 2019 ...) On this occasion, Assoc. Le Quang Son thanked the support of UCA leaders, including the important role of Professor. Stéphane Ngo Mai and also hoped that the two sides would continue to promote the developing cooperation.

 The UCA committed to continue cooperation agreements with UD in connection with the Erasmus + project. UD respectfully sent an invitation to Prof. Dr. Stéphane Ngo Mai for his interest, participation, scientific reports and keynote speaker for international conferences chaired by the University of Economics, UD and Prof. Stéphane Ngo Mai happily accepted. The UCA shared that it would continue to actively support to enhance the exchange of lecturers, staff and students for University of Economics, University of Technology and Education - UD to study and do research at UCA.

The meeting between the two universities ended in an open, friendly and reliable atmosphere. The leaders of both sides expressed their satisfaction, belief and mutual agreement on the direction of cooperation, which will further support and foster the increasingly comprehensive and extensive cooperation between between UD and UCA, effectively meeting the mutual needs and interests, continuing to positively contribute to the process of connection and integration of Eur-Asian University.
