The University of Danang’s member universities receive from businesses a lot of equipments for training and scientific research

Implementing key tasks and solutions for the academic year, including the pillar of promoting academia – industry link accompanying training, using high-quality human resources, coordinating research and applying science, technology and innovation, in recent times, member universities of the University of Danang (UD) have promoted cooperation with reputable corporations and businesses, received equipments for training, practice, experiment and research for staff, lecturers and students.

On November 8, University of Science and Technology (DUT) – UD officially received the sponsorship package of electronic lab equipment “Keysight Smart Bench Essentials” from Keysight Technologies Group (Singapore) and Keysight’s distribution partner in Vietnam ASIC Technologies with a total value of 35,000 USD.

These are devices specifically designed to serve laboratories with the integration of “Digital Learning Suit” to create a digital learning platform on the web to help staff, lecturers and students to easily access and control the device remotely, take screenshots, graph measurement data, export reports and many other learning and research tasks.

According to the university’s leader, the cooperation in receiving the sponsorship package of Keysight Smart Bench Essentials is the first step in being ready to train high-quality human resources, especially for the Micro-electronic Engineering program which is being planned to open in 2024 intake to meet the urgent needs, contributing to the development of the country’s semiconductor industry.

Previously, on November 2, DUT – UD also received the Simaris Design Software package and Electrical Instruments (Sinova series) from Siemens Corporation to present to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering including calculation tools, power distribution grid design and power supply, thereby contributing to improve the quality of training and scientific research for staff, lecturers and students.

On November 11, University of Technology and Education (UTE) – UD held a ceremony to receive 5 engines and 2 engine models from Truong Hai Group (THACO).

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Cao Tho, Rector of UTE – UD, the cooperation between the university and THACO Group has been developed for a long time. Many graduates from the university are holding key positions at THACO Group.

At the event of annoucement of enrollment and training as well as the workshop on semiconductor circuit held at the end of October, Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) – UD signed cooperation agreements with 4 partners: Institute of Information Technology – Vietnam National University, Hanoi; FPT Software in Central region, Institute of System Integration, Le Quy Don Technical University and Nam Long Technology Investment Group which expects to invest in laboratories with a total value of 25 billion VND.
