On March 22, 2024, the Signing Ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with UACV Universal Alloy Corporation Vietnam (UACV), USA, took place at the University of Danang  - University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT) on developing high quality human resources.

Attending the ceremony, there were Mr. Truong Hoang Nguyen - Executive Director of UACV; Mr. Ciprian Bota - UACV Production Director; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of UD, Rector of UD-DUT; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dinh Lam - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of UD-DUT’s Council.

Also attending were representatives of leaders of relevant units: Administrative Supervisor of UACV; Head of UD-DUT Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation; Representatives of Academic Affairs Department and Mechanical Engineering Department of UD-DUT.

Assoc.Prof.Dr.  Nguyen Huu Hieu - Rector of UD-DUT delivered a speech

According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu – Rector of UD-DUT, since 2019 when the People's Committee of Da Nang City directed UD-DUT to connect and cooperate with UAC Group (USA) to build and open a training major of Aviation Mechanics, providing qualified human resources, accompanying UAC to invest in an aerospace components factory in Da Nang Hi-Tech Park, UD-DUT has provided quality training, up to now students of the course 2020 is doing intern and are expected to graduate in 2025.

With a training program that closely cooperates with businesses and focuses on the content of the modules in accordance with the ordering requirements of UACV (a member of the UAC Group), UD-DUT trusts its graduates will meet the needs of businesses, especially when there are many former students who graduated from other majors who have been recruited by UACV to work at the Company.

In the context that the two Governments of Vietnam and the United States have just upgraded their cooperation to become a comprehensive strategic partnership and Da Nang city is focusing on developing high-tech industries such as Aerospace Technology, Semiconductor chips and Artificial Intelligence, more and more businesses are interested in connecting and cooperating with UD-DUT in training and recruitment; supporting the university to strengthen facilities and sending experts to guide students' internships.

The signing of cooperation between the two parties has practical significance in meeting needs, promoting potential and strengths towards the long term, bringing common benefits, including empowering students and serving the community.

Mr. Truong Hoang Nguyen - Executive Director of UACV expressed his joy and honor to sign the MOU with UD-DUT, a large scientific research and training center with a leading tradition and reputation in the system of universities in the field of engineering and technology.

UACV representatives highly appreciated the qualities, abilities and creativity of employees, who are the University's alumni, working at the Company. All of alumni and students of UD-DUT have professional spirit and working/ internship attitudes, including good English skills, ability to solve situations and professional problems, especially the sense of constantly learning and creating.

This increases businesses' confidence in the training quality reputation of UD-DUT, thereby promoting cooperation and development between the two sides.

According to the signed MOU, UD-DUT and UACV enterprise (USA) will focus on implementing cooperation in training to improve knowledge and skills for students. The business side supports and coordinates the organization of training and refresher courses to help students proficiently use key software and technology solutions in designing, manufacturing and processing aerospace components.

UACV accompanies UD-DUT in contributing to the development of training programs and course outlines to connect training with the actual needs of businesses; accepting interns as introduced by UD-DUT and is responsible for providing documents, assigning personnel to participate in guiding, coordinating inspection, supervision and evaluation of students' internship results.

The two sides cooperate in scientific research, application and technology transfer, focusing on implementing and applying research results and products and innovations into practice, especially in the field of design, manufacturing and processing aerospace components of UACV.

Every year, UACV shares and provides information about human resource recruitment needs so that UD-DUT will coordinate to promote and introduce students who meet the criteria and wish to work at UACV to apply.
