UD-UED hosts the 9th Eurasian Conference on Educational Innovation

The University of Danang – University of Science and Education (UD-UED) hosted the 9th Eurasian Conference on Educational Innovation (ECEI 2026) on January 30, 2026, bringing together leading academics and experts from 12 countries and territories to discuss the future of education in the digital era.

Co-organized with the International Institute of Knowledge Innovation and Invention (IIKII), the IEEE Tainan Sensors Council, National Taiwan Normal University, the Institute of Excellence in Educational Sciences, and the Gandhigram Rural Institute (India), the conference focused on the transformative impact of artificial intelligence, big data, and emerging technologies on education worldwide.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice Rector of UD-UED, highlighted the significance of ECEI 2026 as a platform for international collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation in education. “Globalization presents both opportunities and challenges for education, requiring profound changes to meet new missions,” he said.

Keynote speakers included Professor Xiaoming Zhai of the University of Georgia (USA), who addressed opportunities and challenges of AI in scientific assessment, emphasizing fairness, algorithmic bias, and academic responsibility; and Professor Le Anh Vinh, Director of the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences, who shared insights into the design and implementation of AI curricula in Vietnamese schools, stressing learner-centered approaches and ethics in AI applications.

The conference received over 300 submissions and featured 120 in-person presentations, 61 online presentations, and 38 poster sessions. Topics ranged from AI and STEM education to smart assessment, learning technologies, extended reality (XR), and innovative teaching methods for the digital age.

Organizers said the strong turnout and diverse contributions underscore the growing interest in educational innovation and the importance of international dialogue in shaping the future of learning.
