On June 30, 2025, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), a member of The University of Danang (UD), officially inaugurated the K-Tech College 2025 training program. This initiative, funded by the Korean Government and overseen by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) in collaboration with the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), is tailored for final-year Information Technology students.

Dr. Tran The Son, Vice Rector of UD-VKU, emphasized that the program is designed to develop high-quality IT professionals who are well-prepared for both regional and international job markets, with a particular focus on meeting the needs of Korean partner companies.
Vice Rector of UD-VKU Tran The Son also noted that being selected as a public university in central Vietnam to participate in this Korean Government project is a significant honor for UD-VKU. Currently, VKU serves nearly 7,000 students and continues to invest in modern facilities and faculty development.

K-Tech College 2025 offers a comprehensive, 14-week curriculum combining 520 hours of advanced theoretical instruction and hands-on training. The program covers cutting-edge technologies such as React, Next.js, Spring Boot, and GraphQL, alongside modules on Korean business culture, language, and essential soft skills - ranging from teamwork and global workplace mindset to practical project development and product presentation.

This year, 39 exceptional final-year IT students were selected through a rigorous three-stage process, including application screening, skills assessment, and interviews. The fully funded program also provides daily lunches, ensuring that students can focus entirely on their learning and professional growth. To maximize engagement and collaboration, participants have access to industry-standard tools like Slack and Notion for communication, document management, and progress tracking.

According to Mr. Kim Hyeon Gyu, Director of LikeLion Korea, the initiative not only cultivates technical expertise but also strengthens the strategic partnership between Vietnam and South Korea. “K-Tech College 2025 is an opportunity for Korean companies to collaborate with VKU in nurturing the next generation of global software engineers, who will serve as vital bridges for knowledge and technology exchange".

Upon completion, graduates will be connected with Korean enterprises and startups, that opening doors to internships and employment opportunities in dynamic, international environments. The K-Tech College 2025 program exemplifies UD-VKU’s commitment to producing industry-ready graduates and fostering cross-border educational cooperation.
