University of Science and Technology – The University of Danang cooperates with the Hitachi Systems Corporation Vietnam to develop digital technology laboratory

On January 19, University of Science and Technology (DUT) – the University of Danang (UD) officially signed a cooperation agreement with the Hitachi Systems Corporation Vietnam to develop the “smart” 4.0 technology-applied laboratory.

The ceremony drew the attendance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – President of the UD, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh – Rector of DUT-UD, and leader representatives of the Hitachi Systems Corporation Vietnam.

Attending the ceremony were also Prof. Dr. Bui Van Ga – former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education and Training; leader representatives from the DUT-UD Rectorate Board, University Council and departments, faculties.

Leader representatives of DUT-UD and Hitachi Systems Vietnam signed the cooperation agreement.

The purpose of the cooperation is to promote the potentials and strengths of the University and the enterprise which are joining hands to improve the quality of technological human resource towards achieving the goals of “Made in Vietnam 4.0” Program that is being jointly implemented by the Vietnamese Government and several leading technology corporations such as Hitachi, Siemens, etc.

Regarding the main content of the cooperation, DUT-UD and the Hitachi Systems Vietnam will cooperate to select, provide equipments and deploy advanced software applications for automation, power transmission, and product lifecycle management (NX, Teamcenter, Technomatrix), etc. The enterprise will also support DUT-UD in the practical training at the digital technology laboratory which will be set up and operated right in the University’s campus.

Leader representative of DUT-UD said that once being completed, the project will meet the needs of improving the quality of training and scientific research (both undergraduate and postgraduate) in pioneering faculties and majors including: Mechanical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications, Information Technology, Advanced Science and Technology, Project Management, etc.
