To fulfill this mission, the University of Da Nang has been focusing on attracting leading scientists, including Vietnamese intellectuals and experts abroad through the international cooperation network with the Ulysseus European Alliance (Ulysseus) or the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts Global (AVSE Global), both of which recognize the University of Da Nang as a strategic partner.

In the immediate future, the university will concentrate on establishing 10 new strong, interdisciplinary research groups. Notably, at least 30% of group members will come from businesses, ensuring close linkage between research and practical application.
Moreover, the University of Da Nang will mobilize domestic and foreign resources, as well as implement specific mechanisms and policies in order to attract 5 to 7 outstanding scientists each year to lead interdisciplinary research groups.

In addition, the university will direct its member institutions to develop action plans, and proactively prepare more than 100 specific projects and tasks to participate in major science and technology programs. Priority will be given to establishing new research institutes and centers involving artificial intelligence, semiconductors, new materials and renewable energy, and financial technology.
The member universities will also be encouraged to connect with and join reputable training and research networks. These initiatives aim to strengthen the connection among “four pillars” (the State - universities - scientists and businesses) to make Da Nang become a hub for innovation, start-up, and regional growth.
