Leaders of the University of Danang welcomed Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Hanoi, Subhash Prasad Gupta

Recently, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) chaired the meeting and worked with Mr. Subhash Prasad Gupta - Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Hanoi, Vietnam. Also attending were representative leaders of Department of International Cooperation of UD.

At the meeting, Vice President of UD Le Quang Son warmly welcomed the Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Hanoi, Subhash Prasad Gupta to visit UD on the occasion of his business trip to Da Nang city.

The visit of Indian Deputy Ambassador is even more meaningful on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India

Vice President of UD Le Quang Son introduced the overview and highlights of UD as a national key regional university, multi-disciplinary, multi-field with 06 member universities and affiliated  institutes, faculties, branches and  centers. UD currently has extensive cooperation relationships in  education and research with many prestigious universities, research institutes, organizations and business partners in Vietnam and foreign partners.

The leaders of UD expressed their hope that the Embassy of India would pay attention and create favorable conditions to support UD to connect and build cooperative relationships with prestigious Indian universities, thereby developing the network of scientists to work together in research, academic activities, exchange of staff, lecturers, students...

Talking with the leaders of UD, Deputy Ambassador Subhash Prasad Gupta expressed his pleasure to visit UD, considered this as the first step to increase mutual understanding and discuss the possibility of  potential cooperation, thereby promoting future cooperation and connection, cultural exchange especially this year when the two countries celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India.

The Deputy Ambassador shared that the Government of India is currently offering many scholarships to Vietnamese elite students to study undergraduate and postgraduate studies at leading Indian universities, such as the Scholarship Program of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

With the ICCR Scholarship, Indian scientists, professors, speakers, especially in the fields of humanities and social sciences, and philosophy have more opportunities to collaborate, teach and do scientific research at Vietnamese universities and research institutes.

The Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India expressed his wish to have the opportunity to return to UD to exchange and talk with students on topics such as history, philosophy or international relations.

In an atmosphere of understanding and sincerity, the leaders of UD and Deputy Chief of Mission Subhash Prasad Gupta acknowledged and shared common concerns. The Embassy of India is willing to act as a bridge role with UD to develop cooperative relationships for mutual benefit with Indian universities and institutes, thereby actively contributing to the regional educational integration process in Asia in particular, contributing to fostering the friendship between Vietnam and India in general.
