Opening ceremony of Fujikin Da Nang Research, Development and Production Center in cooperation between University of Science and Technology – The University of Danang (UD) and Fujikin Corporation

On 24/11/2022, in Da Nang Hi-Tech Park (Hoa Lien commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang), the opening ceremony of "Fujikin Da Nang Research, Development and Production Center" was carried out. 

This is the result of the cooperation project between University of Science and Technology - UD and Fujikin Corporation (Japan), starting from October 2020, to coordinate funding, joint research, human resource recruitment and technology transfer,... 

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Quang Nam - Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee, Mr. Yakabe Yoshinori – Consul General of the Japanese Consulate General in Da Nang, representatives of Fujikin Japan Corporation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son- Vice President of the UD; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh- Rector of University of Science and Technology - UD and leaders of relevant partners.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh - Rector of University of Science and Technology - UD, the Fujikin Da Nang Research, Development and Production Center aims to create high-quality, high-intelligence products; which  is very consistent with the city's priorities to minimize the use of natural resources, be environmentally friendly and contribute to the development and improvement of using high-quality human resources. 

The benefits from the cooperation project between the university and business, especially in the fields of high technology, are expected to bring many practical values, contributing to promoting the development of education, science and technology in accordance with the goals and development strategies of Da Nang into a "research and innovation center".

 

According to Fujikin's representative, the center has just been inaugurated and put into use with a total surface area of 33,100m2 and total investment of US$35 million. The priority areas include: research, application and commercialization of advanced technology products such as robot versions, unmanned aerial vehicles, hydrogen energy equipment, Nano equipment, AI technology, water filter system, wireless power transmission system and development of new materials, medical equipment,…
