School of Medicine and Pharmacy - UD receives Accreditation Certificates for 02 Undergraduate Programs: Medicine and Nursing

School of Medicine and Pharmacy (SMP) - the University of Danang (UD) has received official accreditation certificates for its undergraduate Medicine and Nursing programs, following a ceremony held on June 6, 2025.

The accreditation was awarded by the Center for Education Accreditation - Vietnam National University, Hanoi. At the event, Associate Professor Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien - Director of the Center, commended UD-SMP for its commitment to quality assurance and compliance with the strict standards set by the Ministry of Education and Training for medical and healthcare education.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for the university and its accredited departments, encouraging continuous improvement and the strengthening of their core strengths. It also demonstrates a sustained commitment to a culture of quality for students and stakeholders.

According to Dr. Le Viet Nho - Rector of UD-SMP, the university is deeply committed to developing its faculty and infrastructure, while continuously enhancing the objectives, content, and teaching methods of its programs. These efforts aim to meet national quality assurance and accreditation standards, and to move toward regional and international benchmarks.

The school leadership expressed gratitude to external assessors, the accreditation center, university leadership, faculty, students, and alumni for their support throughout the evaluation process, particularly those in the Medicine and Nursing departments.

In the near future, UD-SMP plans to seek accreditation for two additional undergraduate programs - Dentistry and Pharmacy.

For the 2025 admissions cycle, UD-SMP will offer seven undergraduate programs with a total enrollment target of 630 students. The programs include Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and a planned Clinical Psychology program.
