“University of Economics-UD is the first higher education institution in the Central - Central Highlands region to be allowed by the Government to do the pilot implementation of the university autonomy mechanism. Up to now, the university has initially succeeded in the spirit of the revised Higher Education Law. Continuously in the enrollment seasons over the years, the University has always achieved 100% of its target with admission scores among the top universities in the country (average 22 to 26 points). The university has proactively pioneered the opening of new training disciplines such as Data Science and Business Analytics, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, E-commerce, etc. to serve the development needs of Da Nang city according to Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW of the Politburo as well as localities of the Central - Central Highlands region and the whole country.

According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet, Director of Department of Educational Quality Assurance,  UD, from 2018 to now, the University has had 05 training programs meeting international quality standards (AUN-QA of Southeast Asia). As planned, in August 2021, the University will have 03 more training programs accredited according to the international quality standard AUN-QA.

Being dynamic, autonomous and integrated, the University's students were increasingly achieving outstanding achievements in national and international contests and academic playgrounds, such as: First prize for National Science Research Student (2020), First Champion of the Accounting-Finance Contest (Virtual Finhack-2019) organized by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of Great Britain, Second Prize (no First Prize) the prestigious Eureka Prize National Science Research Student (2018), First Prize of “Talent Searching for Management Information Systems 4.0” (2018), etc.

Towards a "green", comfortable, friendly university

The highlight that brings a new look to the University of Economics-UD is a multi-purpose building (9 floors, usable area 6,500 m²), located in the middle of a green campus with many functions, utilities and high aesthetics recently put into use by the university. By dedicating one of the four functional blocks to arrange a more convenient working space for scientists and professors, University of Economics-UD is one of the leading universities, showing its importance and respectful  treatment for intellectuals and sages.

In addition, the university always focuses on improving the environment, learning and living conditions which are more comfortable and friendly, inspiring both lecturers and students. For example: Research room for scientists and lecturers; Center for practice of tourism-hotel; Dormitory “5-star standard” for international students… These are breakthroughs thanks to savings, mobilizing a lot of resources to enhance facilities, serving the goal of improving the quality of training and scientific research - two key pillars for the university to develop sustainably.

The "Green University DUE" project launched by the Youth Union and Student Union of the University from the beginning of 2021 carried the message: "Join hands for a "green" university, a green future community" in response to the call of the Prime Minister: "Plant 1 billion trees in the next 5 years", attracting a large number of students to respond. Volunteers registered and completed enough time to live green, protected the environment in their own ways such as: Saying no to plastic products,  not using plastic straws, exchanging plastic products for glass bottles, raising awareness in sorting waste or choosing to go to the university by tram or bus...

For the success of learners and the prosperous development of the community

“Every day a green action really helps me form good habits, make a small contribution to creating a green university”, shared by Nguyen Nhu Quan, Faculty of Business Administration. The campaign "Growing trees - Giving livelihoods" was also mobilized by the Student Union to raise funds. Accordingly, the campaign donated and planted more than 500 new Sao Den trees for people in Xuyen Dong 2 (Quang Nam province) to continue taking care of. After harvesting, people will use that money to buy seedlings for the next greening of urban bare land.

Assessing the university's activities, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu-President of UD affirmed that the results and achievements of the University in recent years were convincing evidence demonstrating the prestige and academic reputation of the University of Economics - UD, a center training, scientific research leading in the Central - Central Highlands region and the whole country, with a long tradition, which always show the mission for the success of learners and the prosperous development of the community.
