The University of Danang actively participates in activities of the international project Erasmus+ HEIsCITI

Within the framework of the project "Higher Education Institutions as Innovative Triggers of Sustainable Development in European Cities in post Covid-19 era" (referred to as the "HEIsCITI" Project), the University of Danang ( UD) is a partner of the project which includes: Project coordinator WSB University (Akademia WSB) - Poland; Stuttgart Media University (Hochschule der Medien) - Germany; LAMA Company (LAMA Società Cooperativa – Impresa Sociale) - Italy; Mykolas Romeris University - Lithuania; SMART RI Company – a company specializing in strategic management and development, Croatia.

 

From September 22 to 28 September, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son, Vice President of the UD, and the delegation, visited Mykolas Romeris University (MRU), Lithuania, as part of the implementation progress of the Project. On the first working day, project participants visited and listened to the  achievements that Mykolas Romeris University, Lithuania, had accomplished after participating in the HEIsCITI Project.

Here, the delegation held an internal meeting and rountable discussion with participating units to review and assess the progress of the Project, with the aim of jointly addressing any obstacles and difficulties encountered during the implementation process. The meeting took place in a lively atmosphere, with all parties openly shared and pointed out issues that needed to be resolved and work packages needed to be done. As part of the Project, the delegation listened to the experiences shared by master’s students currently studying at Mykolas Romeris University and visited Joniskis District, Lithuania, where these students conducted research activities related to the Project.

The delegation was welcomed by Ms. Vaida Aleknaviciene, Vice Mayor, projects'​ coordinator at Joniskis District Municipality, who is also a former member in the Project. She shared insights on the research being conducted in the local area.

In addition to the activities within the framework of the Project, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son had side discussions with representatives from Mykolas Romeris University, Lithuania, to deploy further cooperation activities related to short-term student and lecturer exchanges, especially in the field of psychology, where both sides have significant strengths in the coming time.
