The University of Danang affirms its active role in the V2WORK project and the VEES-NET Network to bring job and entrepreneurship opportunities to students.

From March 29-31, 2021, Representative of the University of Danang, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Trung Hung - Vice Rector of University of Technology and Education – the University of Da Nang and the working delegation attended the V2WORK Project Final Conference and the Annual Meeting of VEES-NET Network.

Attendees of the conference were leaders of Departments, Offices under the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, AIESEC International Student Association and leaders of universities, organizations and associations, domestic and foreign businesses.

Overview of the Conference

Erasmus+ V2WORK (Strengthening the Vietnamese Higher Education System to improve graduates’ employability and entrepreneurship skills) is sponsored by European Commission. Partnership of the project includes the University of Danang, 03 European Universities (Alicante University - Spain; FH Joanneum University - Austria; Coimbra University – Portugal) and 07 Vietnamese Universities (Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Industrial University of Vinh, University of Social Science and Humanities – VNU-HCMC , Nha Trang University, Tay Nguyen University, Tra Vinh University, Thu Dau Mot University)

 

The success of the V2WORK project brings a new wind, promotes job opportunities and entrepreneurship to students

At the conference, representatives of the University of Danang (UD) participated in discussions, sharing experiences and results gained from the V2WORK project, thereby strengthening the capacity of staff and lecturers participating in soft skills training to help students with more job opportunities, foster a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation; develop the project in a sustainable direction thanks to the connection of University-Business, establishing the VEES-NET Network.

Over the past three years, the University of Danang has actively implemented and completed goals, tasks, and made important contributions to the overall success of the V2WORK Project; spread the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship through many creative activities at UD’s members.

University – Enterprise Cooperation Forum organized at University of Technology and Education – UD was a typical successful activity of the V2WORK project  

The significant success of the V2WORK Project has opened a new journey to establish the VEES-NET Network, which the University of Da Nang is one of the eight co-founders to expand and promote cooperation between universities with managers, policy makers (from the central to the regions and localities) and the business community to support students in finding jobs and starting a business.

Students are supported in scientific research, fostered the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship

At the 1st Annual Meeting of VEES-NET, member universities agreed to focus on activities for the next 3 years, including: (1) Development of (online) modules to enhance job search and start-up opportunities for students; (2) Deployment of "Job Exchange" platform for members of VEES-NET; (3) Coordination to organize online events such as Job Fair, Admission Consulting, scientific conferences / seminars on topics to support students in job development and entrepreneurship ...

UD is always a pioneer and proactive Unit in University-Business connection in international networks and projects

As a member and work package leader who always proactively and actively contributes to the success of the V2WORK project, and at the same time as a pioneer in the VEES-NET Network, the University of Danang has truly affirmed its prestige and leading academic status in the system of Vietnam higher education system, making an important contribution to the process of connecting and integrating the Eurasian University education, steadily reaching the international level.
