The University of Danang cooperated with Japanese organizations, enterprises to hold the online workshop on the transfer of Aqua pulita electrolyte water generators to Vietnam

On April 19, the University of Danang (UD) in collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Japanese companies of Original Engineering Consultants (OEC) and AGC Inc. held the online workshop on the transfer of Aqua pulita electrolyte water disinfection equipments produced by KANAZAWA INDUSTRY CO., LTD to Vietnam.

Attending the workshop were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Van Duong - Vice President of the UD, Dr. Vu Thi Bich Hau - Deputy Director of Danang Department of Science and Technology, Dr. Nguyen Dai Vinh - Director of Hoa Vang District's Medical Center (the recipient of funding and technology application), leader representatives of the UD's Office of Administrative Affairs, functional departments (Science - Technology and Environment, International Cooperation) and the UD's centers (Japan Center, Center for Learning Information Resources and Communication).
At the workshop, Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Van Duong acknowledged and highly appreciated the significance of the transfer and application of water disinfection technology and cleaning liquid production to serve the urgent practical needs of Danang city.

The UD's Vice President expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders and his strong belief that this workshop will give medical institutions, hospitals in the Central region as well as Vietnam more opportunities to receive aid or investment in technology transfer of useful equipments.
Japanese experts reported on the overview of the technology, shared information and experience in activities of transferring, installing advanced equipments which brought many benefits to medical institutions' operation.

Japanese enterprises also introduced the Aqua pulita water disinfection technology and equipment, at the same time expected the UD to continue serving as the "bridge" for the transfer of this equipment to potential application sites such as schools, sports clubs, food manufacturing and processing companies, etc.

On this occasion, Dr. Nguyen Dai Vinh - Director of Hoa Vang District's Medical Center, thanked the UD for accompanying, connecting with Japanese partners in the aid and technology transfer of disinfection equipments which timely served the local healthcare demand.

The equipment aid project for Danang city is a part of the project "Strengthening the capacity of developing countries to mitigate the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic through appropriate technology transfer from Japan" of UNIDO, which contributes to solving local problems for the goal of sustainable development.
This project has been implemented under the cooperation agreement between the UD (the Japan Center) with Japanese partners. It has completed the installation and application of 4 water disinfection equipments at Hoa Vang District's Medical Center with a total value of 1.1 billion VND.
