Recently (May 24), The University of Danang – Danang International Institute of Technology (UD-DNIIT) organized an internship report seminar for 32 international students under the Cooperation Project with the University of Côte d'Azur (UCA), Republic of France.

These are students from schools and institutes (Polytech CS, Polytech E, IUT info) members of UCA, who were received by UD-DNIIT, supported to connect and invite prestigious lecturers and experts to guide their internships, thereby initially gaining a lot of useful knowledge and skills, demonstrated through the quality of scientific reports.

According to Prof.Dr.Sc. Le Thanh Nhan - Dean of UD-DNIIT, the topics of international students for doing internships at UD-DNIIT's partner agencies and units this year have scientific and practical significance, mostly applying 4.0 technology to propose feasible solutions with high applicability.

Notable topics in the field of health care and medicine included: "Hospital K-Admin web application and mobile API for nutritional care of cancer patients"; "K Hospital - App for mobile"...

In the trend of developing “smart” cities, there are topics such as: “Identifying tourist attractions”; “Building energy monitoring and warning system”; “LED lighting system displaying real-time at bus stations”; “Outdoor livestock tracking device using LoRaWAN” or “Reading water meters with camera-based index recognition” etc.

In climate change adaptation and disaster prevention, there are topics: "Rainfall monitoring and warning system"; "Machine learning application to forecast flood flows and warn of natural disasters"; "Climate change and migration"...

Topics on applying 4.0 technology in many fields and life

Topics applying the 4.0 platform can open up many useful technological solutions in education and commerce such as: "GreenSchool: IoT system for waste education for children"; "Natural Language Processing (NLP) application"; "GreenShop: E-commerce system for environmentally friendly products"..., shared a representative member of the Internship Report Evaluation Council.

These are topics proposed by students with ideas and solutions originating from understanding practical needs, supported by lecturers who are also dedicated and experienced experts that UD-DNIIT connected in the academic research network, from perfecting ideas, approaches, implementation, research to initially producing quality scientific reports, and continuing to perfect many solutions and products with good startup innovation.

Opportunities for professional development, creative thinking,

entrepreneurship and cultural exchange experiences

International students of UCA were further motivated when leading UCA professors such as: Prof. Stéphane Ngo Mai - Vice President of UCA; Prof. Alexandre Caminada - Rector of Polytech University, UCA, directly visited and encouraged them during their working trip with UD to sign a cooperation agreement to formalize UD's position as the first non-continental member of the Ulysseus European University Alliance and the role of a bridge unit of UD-DNIIT.

It is known that UCA students will do internships and experiences combined with many opportunities for travel, sightseeing and cultural exchange (first of all, the International Fireworks Festival in the beautiful and hospitable coastal city of Da Nang) from April to August 2024.

The instructions, comments, scientific and constructive criticisms of the councils with the prominent role of UD-DNIIT in organizing and accompanying international students were useful experiences that not only help them improve their expertise and develop creative entrepreneurial thinking, but also clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of the "Borderless Universities" research cooperation model between UD-DNIIT in particular, UD in general, and prestigious universities in the world.
