The University of Danang enhances resources to implement work packages under the framework of the Digital Move project —developing and integrating the Innovative Pedagogical Center to accelerate digital transformation

On the afternoon of December 18, 2024, Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son, Vice President of the University of Danang (UD), presided over and directed the implementation of project components related to digital transformation under the framework of the DIGITAL MOVE project at UD-Software Development Center. Also attending the discussion were Dr. Cao Xuan Tuan, Director of UD-Personnel Department and a standing member of UD’s Digital Transformation Steering Committee; Dr. Dinh Thi My Hanh, Director of UD-Student Affairs Department; Dr. Nguyen Ha Huy Cuong, Director of UD-Software Development Center; and MA. Ho Long Ngoc, Vice Director of Department of Science & International Cooperation, and related faculty members and staff.

The DIGITAL-MOVE project is a part of the European Community support program to strengthen the capacity of higher education institutions in developing countries. The project is built to achieve the main goals such as: creating a digital transformation culture in higher education institutions of Mongolia and Vietnam; promoting a culture of digital transformation; developing digital soft skills for lecturers, students, specialists, and managers through training courses…

Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son, UD Vice President, summarized the project’s activities and achieved results so far and directed plans for implementation in the upcoming time.

M.A. Ho Long Ngoc, Vice Director of UD-Department of Science and International Cooperation presented the project components to be implemented at UD-Innovative Pedagogical Center (IPC) located at UD- Software Development Center. 

 Building on the idea of promoting digital transformation in Vietnamese universities, the University of Danang has proactively invited several Vietnamese universities (Hanoi University of Science and Technology, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho University, Quy Nhon University, Nha Trang University, and Tay Nguyen University) to join the project alongside four universities/institutes from Mongolia (CIT University, Mongolian University of Life Sciences, Otoch Manramba University, and Erdenet Technology Institute) and two European universities (University Côte d’Azur, France and Technical University of Košice, Slovakia).

The project has successfully implemented several IPC training courses at UCA, France; TUKE, Slovakia, as well as several online training courses for leaders and faculty members of the participating universities; discussing and designing strategies for digital transformation, a handbook for digital transformation culture, handbook and requirements for establishing the IPC center, and digital transformation curriculum programs at universities involved in the project.

Dr. Cao Xuan Tuan – Director of UD-Personnel Department and a standing member of UD’s Digital Transformation Steering Committee, shared and disseminated some information about the IPC training session that took place at UCA, Nice in June 2024.

The project is being implemented from February 2023 to February 2026. It is expected that the project will achieve key results including enhancing awareness and capacity for digital transformation among students and learners at participating universities.

Dr. Nguyen Ha Huy Cuong – Director of UD- Software Development Center, shared some information about the programs currently being implemented at the center and committed to actively supporting the rollout of the DIGITAL MOVE project.

 At the project dissemination meeting, Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son – UD Vice President highly acknowledged and thanked the UD project members for their enthusiastic communication and proactive implementation of project activities; he also highly appreciated the role and significance of the Digital-Move Project, which is in line with the strategic development of digital transformation at UD; as well as stated that UD is committed to working alongside project partners to strive to achieve the project’s set goals.
