The University of Danang fostered the long-lasting cooperation relationship with University of Côte d'Azur and Ulysseus European University

From June 5 to June 9, 2023, basing on the invitation letter of University of Côte d'Azur (UCA), France and the Ulysseus European University (UEU), the senior delegation of the University of Danang (UD) led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – UD’s President had a business trip to France, thereby strengthening the cohesion and raising the cooperation level with leading prestigious European universities.

The visit and working session of UD’s leaders at UCA aimed to continue cultivating and elevating the strategic partnership between the two universities with a tradition of close cooperation for nearly 16 years. In 2022, UD and UCA signed a Cooperation Agreement towards the comprehensive and sustainable cooperation in the new period.

The signing and working session at UCA had the presence of UCA’s senior leaders such as: Prof. Jeanick Brisswalter- UCA’s President; Prof. Frédéric Vidal-former Minister of Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation of the French Republic, former President of UCA; Prof. Stéphane Ngo Mai- UCA’s Vice President in charge of UEU; UCA’s Vice Presidents: Prof. Sylvain Antoniotti, Prof. Cécile Sabourault, Prof. Marie-Pierre Ballarin… thereby showing the respect, connection and trust between UCA and UD.

The highlight of this business trip was the MoU signing ceremony between UD and UCA, whereby UD officially became a partner of Ulysseus European University (UEU) with other members including: UCA (France), University of Seville (Spain), University of Genoa (Italy), Košice University of Technology (Slovakia), MCI Business School (Austria), Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Zitet University crne gore (Montenegro) and the University of Münster (Germany).

According to the signed MOU, UD and UEU agreed to establish a "Hub" to connect and cooperate within the Union located at UD-DNIIT, thereby opening a new, extensive and comprehensive development in terms of training, scientific research and international cooperation, and at the same time promoting international entrepreneurship and innovation activities.

UD leaders expressed their desire to continue receiving support and tight cooperation from UCA, UEU as well as European universities and partners all over the world, thereby jointly promoting potentials for cooperation, strengths and exchange of lecturers, students/researchers/internship students, Ph. D training program (according to Project 89 of Vietnamese Government, UCA could accept PhD students who were officials and lecturers of UD); coordinating to participate in major international projects…

“Valuable experiences from UCA as well as partner universities and research institutes are very useful for UD to continue researching and applying in accordance with the development condition of UD and UD’s member universities, actively adapting in the context of integration and internationalization of higher education” UD President Nguyen Ngoc Vu emphasized.

Through working sessions, the parties shared common concerns and proposed useful ideas and solutions, thereby affirming that they would continue to promote comprehensive cooperation, effectively improve the quality of training and scientific research; innovate advanced university governance as well as strengthen international cooperation; seek for scholarships for staff, lecturers and students; mobilize financial resources to participate in the development of projects such as the Erasmus + Program, the "Smart City" development project.
