On November 11, 2022, the University of Danang (UD) held the workshop "Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) system for higher education institutions and training programs of the UD". 

The workshop has the participation of  Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of the UD; representatives of the UD’s functional departments; representatives of the member universities’ board of rectors; deans/vice deans of affiliated training units, staff and lecturers of functional departments related to the work of educational quality assurance throughout the UD.

Overview of the workshop.  

In the opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son emphasized that in the context of integration and internationalization of higher education, the education quality is considered as a decisive factor in the operation and sustainable development of higher education institutions. It is necessary to build a quality assurance system, especially the IQA system to measure, control and constantly improve the quality of all aspects of the higher education institutions.  

“This workshop aimed to create opportunities for leaders and managers, especially in the work of educational quality assurance, to exchange and share experiences, identify the limitations and problems; discuss and propose appropriate solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of quality assurance in general, build the IQA system for higher education institutions as well as training programs in accordance with national and international quality standards in particular”, the UD Vice President Le Quang Son said.

At the workshop, participants listened to the representatives of the UD’s Department of Educational Quality Assurance and member universities’ Office of Educational Testing and Quality Assurance to present key contents such as: “Quality assurance system inside the UD”; “Sharing experiences of quality assurance and quality inspection according to AUN-QA standards”; “The assessment and summary of annual quality assurance and quality inspection”; etc.

The participants actively discussed and shared their opinions, expressed their responsibilities in the work of quality assurance as well as related aspects.
