The University of Danang – School of Medicine and Pharmacy (UD-SMP) has cooperated with Kobe City College of Nursing, Japan to organize a Workshop with the theme: Nursing Education in adaption to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Attending the Workshop on the side of Kobe City College of Nursing (Japan) were Ms. Minami-Rector, Prof. Kato and Ms. Shimazawa - Department of International Cooperation with lecturers and students of the College of Nursing.

On the side of UD-SMP, attending the Workshop were Dr. Le Viet Nho - Dean of the School and the leaders of the Science & International Cooperation Group, Department of Nursing, the lecturers and students of the School.

The purpose of the Workshop was to create an opportunity for a forum to share and exchange nursing training experiences in order to adapt, prevent and control the global COVID-19 pandemic, thereby proposing ideas, orientation and solutions for effective teaching and learning methods to flexibly and safely adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the Workshop, the delegates listened to thematic reports presented by experts, lecturers and students studying Nursing from Japan and UD-SMP, thereby gaining more useful information of human resource needs, training, teaching and practical learning of nursing majors from the reality of two higher education institutions.

With an effort to connect and promote the cooperation between UD-SMP and its Japanese university and institute partners, the Workshop provided an opportunity for staff, lecturers and students to understand the situation, human resource needs, job opportunities and internships, thereby increasing more motivation to improve the expertise and necessary skills in order to meet the requirements of improving the quality of nursing education effectively and safely to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic.
