The University of Science and Education - UD hosted the Science, Technology and Innovation Startup Festival 2025

On May 28, 2025, the University of Science and Education (UED) – University of Danang (UD) hosted the Science, Technology, and Innovation Startup Festival 2025. This event series demonstrates the commitment of the university’s faculty and students to implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, while inspiring research and innovation within the institution.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Minh - Rector of UD-UED, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW marks a strategic milestone, embodying the Party’s profound vision for innovation and long-term development. It clearly identifies science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as key breakthroughs in the new era.

The university’s leadership emphasized that, with a 50-year legacy of growth and development, UD-UED takes pride in being a cradle for training educators, scientists, and intellectuals, as well as providing high-quality human resources for the Central region and Vietnam. The university recognizes its mission and social responsibility not only to train teachers but also to actively engage in scientific research, application, and knowledge and technology transfer, contributing to educational reform and community service.

The message conveyed to the faculty and students of UD-UED is to remain steadfast in their goals, persistently implement initiatives, and resolutely innovate, collectively fostering a dynamic university that contributes to building an advanced education system driven by in-depth knowledge.

During the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice Rector of UD-UED, announced the implementation plan for Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, focusing on three key objectives: 1) Enhancing the quality of training to meet the demand for high-quality human resources in the digital era; 2) Promoting scientific research and innovation to create practical applications for education, society, and the community; and 3) Advancing comprehensive digital transformation in governance, training, research, and international cooperation.

To achieve these goals, the university will rigorously execute seven key task groups and solutions, including reforming science and technology management mechanisms; developing high-quality human resources in science and technology; enhancing research capacity and the application and transfer of knowledge and technology; building an innovation ecosystem within the university; strengthening international cooperation and integration; and increasing financial resources for science, technology, and innovation linked to comprehensive digital transformation.

On this occasion, UD-UED honored nearly 140 outstanding faculty members and students for their achievements in scientific research, international publications, intellectual property, and innovation. These individuals also excelled in various competitions and awards at different levels, actively contributing to and spreading the spirit of innovation both within and beyond the university.

The event also featured a range of activities, including a seminar on “Contributing Ideas for the Implementation Plan of Resolution 57-NQ/TW,” the panel “The journey of Startup and creating positive value for the Community,” the final round of the “Student Startup – Leading the Future 2025” competition, where teams from the Physics-Chemistry and Biology-Agriculture-Environment Faculties won the First prize with the project “LAVÉSKIN – Pure by Nature Perfected by Science.” Additionally, there were exhibitions showcasing science, technology, innovation, and student and business startup products.
