The University of Danang boosts global reputation through international student exchanges

In line with its ongoing strategy to elevate the reputation and standing of the University of Danang (UD), member universities and affiliated units have recently welcomed a significant number of international students for academic exchange, study, and research.

On June 8, 2025, University of Technology and Education - UD (UD-UTE) hosted a welcoming event for 18 international students from Côte d’Azur University (UCA), France. The event was attended by Prof. Stephen Ngo Mai - Vice Director of UCA; Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Nhan - Director of DNIIT; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Trung Hung - Vice Rector of UD-UTE.

According to university leaders, this initiative not only offers UCA student - whose university is a strategic partner of UD - an opportunity to study, experience, and conduct research at UD, but also enriches academic exchange activities in a multicultural environment.

Introducing the UCA international student delegation, UD-UTE representatives stated that the university had made thorough preparations, ensuring the best possible conditions in terms of faculty and facilities, enabling visiting students to successfully complete their academic requirements and enjoy valuable experiences in the beautiful coastal city of Danang.

This exchange also presents opportunities for UD-UTE lecturers and students to enhance their international integration and cooperation capabilities, share academic experiences, and engage in language and cultural exchanges.

Earlier, on June 2, 2025, the UD Software Development Center (SDC) welcomed five IT students from Southern Leyte State University (SLSU), Philippines, accompanied by Dr. Rhoderick D. Malangsa.

According to Dr. Nguyen Ha Huy Cuong, SDC Director, during their one-month internship under the International IT Immersion Program, the visiting students will participate in software development projects, receive training, and work in teams within an academic environment that collaborates with businesses to develop practical applications.

From March to June 2025, five international students from École Supérieure d’Électronique de l’Ouest (ESEO), France, also completed a professional internship at the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), UD.

According to VKU representatives, under the dedicated guidance of lecturers, ESEO students participated in various academic and research projects, such as: “Developing Password Manager Application”; “Automation of Security Testing”; “Search and Rescue with UAV Swarms”; and “Personalized AI Assistants for Elderly People”.

Through these programs, ESEO students developed skills to apply knowledge across related fields such as information security, artificial intelligence, and UAVs, while also creating unforgettable memories through cultural exchange, international student representatives shared.
