UD-DUE expands international cooperation for sustainable economic development
10/01/2026
The University of Danang - University of Economics (UD-DUE) has strengthened its commitment to international cooperation in human resource development by hosting a delegation from the UK Skills Partnership on January 8, 2026.

The delegation included Ms. Jane Rexworthy, Chair of the UK Skills Partnership; Mr. Matt Bungay, University of London; and Mr. Kenny Siu, Regional Director at the Chartered Insurance Institute, along with education and training commercial managers from the British Embassy in Hanoi and the British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.
Associate Professor Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice Rector of UD-DUE, and Associate Professor Dr. Dang Tung Lam, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Economic Science, were among the university leaders who welcomed the delegation.

Discussions focused on the Green Finance Skills and Vocational Education Project. Both sides explored the development of short-term, micro-credential training programmes to address emerging needs in green finance.
The initiative comes as Vietnam accelerates its transition toward a low-carbon economy, with policies such as the Green Taxonomy, ESG disclosure requirements, and an upcoming carbon market expected to increase demand for skilled professionals across government, finance, and education.

The two sides also discussed potential pilot programmes and delivery models, reaffirming their commitment to continued collaboration.
In related news, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Tung Lam was recently appointed Deputy Director for Strategy and General Affairs at the Executive Agency of the Vietnam International Finance Centre in Da Nang. He will continue his academic and research roles at UD-DUE while contributing to strategic planning and policy advisory work at the Centre.
