On November 27, 2025, at the University of Danang – University of Science and Technology (UD – DUT), the National Council for the Enhancement of the High-Quality Engineer Training Program in Vietnam (PFIEV) convened its 2025 meeting. The event reinforced cooperation between the French Consortium and UD – DUT, facilitating evaluation, experience-sharing, and the development of orientations and solutions to enhance the quality of education and research.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Vice Rector of UD – DUT, emphasized that PFIEV is a reputable international training program implemented with support from partners of the French Republic and Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training. The program highlights the university’s pioneering role and mission in delivering high-quality education aligned with international standards.

Leveraging its strong tradition and strengths in engineering and technology, UD – DUT continues to expand domestic and international partnerships and innovate its curricula across programs in general, and PFIEV in particular, thereby enabling students to engage with and adapt to professional working environments.

According to Mr. Thibaut Skrzypek of École des Ponts ParisTech (ENPC), representative of the French University Consortium, the partners highly value UD – DUT’s organization and continuous improvement of the PFIEV program in line with international orientations and best practices.

A report from the university’s PFIEV Program Lead indicated that key performance indicators for the past academic year continued to improve. The program has prioritized creating opportunities for talented students to undertake internships abroad, expanding scholarship and exchange options, and increasing French-language instruction hours for students.

Based on expert inputs, UD – DUT and the French Consortium agreed on several priority directions:

1. Strengthen communication about PFIEV’s quality and highlight outstanding student profiles to enhance access to graduate-study scholarships and recruitment opportunities at reputable corporations and enterprises.

2. Consider adjusting the name of the “Automated Production” specialization to better align with training objectives, employer expectations, and labor market trends.

3. Continue close collaboration with the Institut français in Danang to improve French-language proficiency, introducing enhanced French instruction for PFIEV students from the first year.

4. Engage PFIEV alumni working in France and across Europe to support internship placements, scholarships, and postgraduate training pathways for UD – DUT students.
