04/03/2026
From February 23 to March 4, 2026, UD-DUT hosted the Global Project-Based Learning (Global PBL – 2026) Program, welcoming a delegation of 26 international students from Shibaura Institute of Technology (Japan) and Ming Chi University of Technology (Taiwan, China), along with lecturers and students from UD-DUT.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Tien Dung, Vice Rector of UD-DUT, the program is implemented within the framework of cooperation with international partner universities, creating opportunities for students to exchange, share, and turn technological ideas and projects into reality through the Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach.
The program’s themes and academic content focus on Industry 4.0 technology fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Network Software (NetSoft) technologies.

Students are guided and inspired in innovative thinking by experienced professors and experts, thereby broadening their perspectives and enhancing their capacity to design and implement real-world projects, as well as to work effectively in multicultural teams.
The program also provides UD-DUT students with an opportunity to demonstrate dynamism and international integration, while strengthening their English proficiency and skills in presentation, scientific research, and academic reporting alongside international students and lecturers.

Representatives of the student participants shared that the dedicated support and inspiration from faculty members, together with advanced equipment and modern software, are truly beneficial. This enables students to leverage interdisciplinary knowledge to develop practical application projects such as an Advanced Interactive Laser Harp, a robot for fire detection and response, Smart Garden, Smart Plant Management, and an AI-integrated traffic monitoring system.

Through a series of academic and professional activities, Global Project-Based Learning (Global PBL – 2026) not only connects knowledge and technology and fosters the spirit of innovation, but also affirms the role and reputation of UD-DUT in the process of internationalizing higher education, as stated by the University’s leadership.
