27/08/2025

On 26 August 2025, The University of Danang (UD) held a professional training program on proposal writing and international project management.

Attendees included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Phuc, Vice-Chairman of the UD Council; Ms. Anna Kosiorowska, Vice-Dean of WSB University in Cracow (Poland); representatives of UD’s functional departments (Science and International Cooperation; Student Affairs, Partners and Communication); as well as project officers and lecturers from UD’s member universities and affiliated units.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Phuc, the training program is part of the ongoing collaboration between UD and WSB University under the Erasmus Programme and the Heart for Heart Organization. It aims to strengthen staff and faculty capacity to identify, formulate, and submit international project proposals while advancing international cooperation with an emphasis on academic and research activities.

In his welcoming remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Phuc thanked the partner institutions and the guest expert. He provided an overview of UD, stressing that international cooperation is a core pillar—alongside education, scientific research, and innovation—in the university’s governance and digital-transformation strategy. This approach reinforces UD’s active role in expanding its global partner network for mutual benefit and sustainable development.

Serving as the trainer, Ms. Anna Kosiorowska shared practical guidance on drafting and submitting applications and on participating in international projects. Her presentation covered general principles of project development and proposal-writing techniques, with particular focus on initiatives within the European framework.

Participants exchanged ideas and discussed emerging challenges, especially those faced by individual member institutions and units.

The program not only heightened awareness and proactive engagement in preparing international project proposals; it also allowed UD staff to learn from best practices, enhance their professional competencies, and further promote international cooperation in an era of integration and globalization.
