Recently (on July 23, 2026), the University of Danang - University of Foreign Language Studies (UD-UFLS) hosted a working session and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Foundation and Visang Education Vietnam, alongside receiving equipment sponsored by the Korea Foundation.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Long, Rector of UD-UFLS, this milestone event marks a strategic partnership between the University and various organizations and enterprises, aiming to provide practical tools for enhancing the quality of teaching and learning, developing students' digital competencies, driving digital transformation, and expanding learning resources for Korean language education.

University leadership emphasized that AI does not replace the role of instructors; instead, it serves as a powerful support tool to foster personalized skill development and build an AI-integrated educational ecosystem. This strategic step aims to strengthen collaboration and equip the institution with advanced physical infrastructure and professional training capabilities, leveraging the strengths of Visang Vietnam's EdTech platform.

Representatives from the partners highly praised the academic reputation of UD-UFLS and expressed a strong commitment to accompanying the university in developing digital platforms, promoting AI applications in teaching and learning, and expanding high-quality learning opportunities for Korean language learners in Da Nang and the wider Central region of Vietnam.

Under the signed MOUs, UD-UFLS and its partners will enhance cooperation in scientific research, organize academic seminars and cultural exchanges, and collaborate on compiling and publishing educational materials regarding Korean language, literature, and culture in Vietnam. Previously, the University also received a Simultaneous Interpretation Booth system funded by the Korea Foundation in collaboration with Samsung. This state-of-the-art facility significantly supports training for simultaneous interpretation modules (Korean-Vietnamese and Vietnamese-Korean) within the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture.

This initiative is a core activity within the framework of the project promoting the expansion of Korean language education in Vietnam through AI-integrated educational platforms, keeping pace with the global trend of digital technology integration in foreign language training during the digital era.
