On 6 September 2025, the Ready4AI Workshop was held at Vietnam–Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang (UD), bringing together university leaders and experts from leading technology enterprises.

According to Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho, Vice Rector of  UD - VKU, the university consistently prioritizes and pioneers the training of high‑quality human resources in step with the Fourth Industrial Revolution. To become global citizens in the digital era, today’s students must proactively equip themselves with knowledge and skills—especially the effective, creative and responsible application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the benefit of the community.

The workshop is part of a series of initiatives jointly organized by UD - VKU, the Danang Department of Science and Technology, and DevPlus, aimed at nurturing 10,000 students ready to adapt and thrive with AI.

According to Pham Vu Huy Hoang, CEO of DevPlus, noted that the program seeks to raise student awareness, foster innovative thinking, shape personal development roadmaps, and enhance competitiveness to meet industry demands. Ready4AI provides a competency framework spanning mindset, skills and technology, while creating opportunities for students to gain real‑world exposure and better align academic training with enterprise needs.

At the event, Kim Kwang Hwee, CEO of SphereAX Vietnam, delivered a talk titled “Smart and Safe Life with AI,” highlighting emerging technology trends and the ways AI contributes to building an intelligent, safe and sustainable digital society.

Expert Dang Thai Hai—Representative of Reasonary AI, former Amazon Engineer and Tech Lead at Meta—shared an inspiring session, “From Silicon Valley to Danang,” encouraging students to build global competencies. He emphasized that AI will not wholly replace humans but will serve as a powerful tool and assistant when leveraged appropriately to create value.

During the Panel Discussion on IT Career Orientation in the AI Era, guest speakers including Kim Kwang Hwee; Dang Thai Hai; Bui Ngoc Vinh, Chairman of DSEC; and Bui Xuan Thien, Full Stack Developer at ST United and VKU alumnus, offered guidance to help students understand and apply AI in practical contexts.

The success of the program not only reflects UD - VKU’s dynamism and readiness in the digital age but also sends a strong message to the new generation of students: be confident and resilient in mastering AI to integrate globally.
