On December 20, 2025, Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang (UD) signed cooperation agreements with King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Thailand, and Ba Na Cable Car Services Joint Stock Company (Sun World Ba Na Hills), with a focus on implementing an international internship model for students.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap, Rector of UD-VKU, this marks a new milestone in VKU’s international collaboration and university–industry partnership, with KMUTNB as a strategic partner and the strong support of Sun World Ba Na Hills.
Under the newly introduced approach, the parties will implement a “1 VKU student paired with 1 KMUTNB student” internship model, enabling students to engage in academic exchange and gain hands-on experience in a real working environment at Sun World Ba Na Hills. The program is expected to expand opportunities for students from both universities in the ASEAN region to strengthen professional competencies and foreign-language skills, while enhancing cultural understanding and fostering creativity and international integration.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pichet Sriyanyong, Vice President of KMUTNB, highly appreciated VKU’s initiative, supported by Sun World Ba Na Hills. He noted that the collaboration helps shape a global cooperation mindset and teamwork capacity, allowing students from both sides to leverage their strengths toward becoming global citizens.
Mr. Doan Quoc Viet, Deputy Director of Sun World Ba Na Hills, emphasized that the company places strong importance on promoting cooperation with universities to contribute to the development of high-quality human resources. Sun World Ba Na Hills affirmed its commitment to accompanying VKU and KMUTNB by hosting students and enhancing their practical competencies through an intensive internship program at the enterprise.

Under the signed MoU, Sun World Ba Na Hills will provide comprehensive support for interns, including related expenses as well as assistance with visa procedures, work permits, and certificates of internship completion. This also reflects the company’s social responsibility and contributes to building a sustainable education–tourism partnership.
