Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu - President of UD shared the honor of being selected by the Ministry of Education and Training as the host, coordinating with the organization of Forum on University – Industry Linkages in 2025.

This is an important and meaningful Forum in the context of the country entering the "era of development", in which high-quality human resources are decisive for the development of the country.

President of UD said that in order to contribute to improving the quality of training and research and development of high technology and strategic technology, the cooperation between Universities and Enterprises with the role of "midwife" of the state is extremely meaningful, considered as a "golden triangle" solution in improving the quality of training and scientific research in the spirit of Resolution 57 of the Politburo.

As a regional university, a national key university, multi-disciplinary and multi-field; a major training and scientific research center of the country, UD has a tradition of more than 30 years of construction and development, inheriting 50 years from member universities, with strengths in training in the fields of engineering and technology with the core role of University of Science and Technology - UD since 1975.

In recent times, UD has pioneered in directing member universities to proactively open new training majors such as: Semiconductor, Artificial Intelligence, Financial Technology, High-speed Railway Construction, Biotechnology, New Materials and Renewable Energy... suitable to meet the requirements of serving the country's development strategy.

UD identifies 03 key tasks and 05 orientations for sustainable development, accordingly, regarding the 03 key tasks, they are:

(1) Creating a breakthrough in scientific research, innovation and digital transformation in the spirit of Resolution No. 57;

(2) Improving the quality of training and enrollment. This is considered the red thread throughout, having vital significance for a university in the context of competition and before the development requirements of the country;

(3) Paying attention to student affairs, considering learners as the center, the school's policies must be directed towards learners to build a safe and healthy learning and living environment; prioritizing investment in funding for students in scientific research and student movement activities so that students have the conditions to comprehensively develop their talents, so that the university is a place to "incubate talents".

To successfully carry out the 3 key tasks, UD has identified 5 major orientations, which are:

First, strengthen the connection with high schools on developing STEM education and foreign languages to improve input quality;

Second, promote cooperation with enterprises in training, scientific research and innovation to train to meet the needs of use;

Third, expand international cooperation to enhance the exchange of lecturers and students, research cooperation to create more resources for development and integration;

Fourth, focus on relations with ministries/sectors/localities to participate in research, development, comment and policy criticism so that universities must become centers for research and policy consulting on socio-economic development of the country and localities; bring universities closer to society;

Fifth, innovate university governance associated with digital transformation towards serving society and learners.

In particular, in the above 5 orientations, UD identifies promoting cooperation with enterprises as a key orientation of strategic significance; hoping that the Ministry of Education and Training will continue to promote its role as a "midwife" as a bridge with ministries/sectors to issue many policy mechanisms to support and promote the increasingly close and substantial relationship between schools and enterprises.
