University of Science and Technology – The University of Danang was recognized to meet the 2nd cycle of HCERES international quality standards

The High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES) has just recognized the accreditation results of University of Science and Technology – The University of Danang (DUT-UD) which met the 2nd cycle of HCERES standards with a period of 5 years (from 10/4/2024 to 10/4/2029).
This is the result of an external assessment by the HECRES Accreditation Experts Team that directly surveyed and worked at DUT-UD in the end of 2023 in accordance with the new HCERES standards set 2022 including 17 standards, 122 criteria in 3 main areas: (1) Administration and management, (2) Scientific research and innovation policy, (3) Educational policy, learners and learning environment.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu – Rector of DUT-UD, with its 50 years of development with significant missions, vision, core values and educational philosophy, DUT-UD always focuses on continuous improvement and implementation of advanced university governance along with active teaching – learning methods to constantly enhance the quality of training and scientific research.
In 2017, DUT-UD was one of the first 4 universities in Vietnam to be recognized by HCERES as meeting the 1st cycle of international quality standards. DUT-UD is an official member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, at the same time a pioneering unit of the UD in quality assurance and educational accreditation with many internationally-accredited and nationally-accredited training programs.

The continuous international accreditations of DUT-UD is a great achievement of the university, reflecting a culture of quality, meeting the needs of stakeholders, learners and the society, affirming its leading academic reputation. This is a solid foundation for DUT-UD to continue to expand cooperation, integrate with the process of internationalization of higher education, attract more foreign experts, lecturers and students.
