Enhance opportunities for students to interact, have academic exchanges with international experts

The University of Economics - the University of Danang (UD) recently held academic exchange activities and seminars, creating opportunities for faculty and students to connect with international experts to learn about research experience and innovation.

At the Seminar on the experience of publishing scientific research results, faculty, undergraduate/graduate students, and doctoral candidates from the Faculty of Business Administration had a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas with Associate Professor Dr. Choong Yuen Onn, an expert with experience in research and scientific publication from Tunku Abdul Rahman University (UTAR), Malaysia.

Associate Professor Dr. Choong Yuen Onn shared insights, methods, and experiences in submitting international publications to reputable journals. According to the expert, understanding the requirements and submission process, along with focusing on meeting the demands of scientific peer review including identifying suitable international scientific journals, is crucial experience to be shared and applied by faculty and researchers to increase their chances of having international publications accepted.

Earlier (on April 23, 2025), the Faculty of Tourism, University of Economics - UD  also held an academic exchange program with faculty and students from Holmesglen Institute (Australia).

According to the Organizing Committee representative, this is a beneficial activity aimed at enhancing understanding and grasping the needs for cooperation in training and scientific research, especially for the fields of tourism and hotel management where both sides have potential and strengths.

Faculty and students representatives discussed current topics, thereby contributing to the introduction of cultural and tourism values with the unique identity of the central Vietnam heritage connection, such as:  Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An Heritage Road, Vietnam; Key strategic pillars for tourism development in Victoria State, Australia...

The exchange program with faculty and students from Kalasin University (KSU), Thailand, also provided a valuable opportunity for academic exchange between the two universities in the ASEAN region regarding the role of education in economic growth from local practices to a national vision.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Komsan Khajornpamyapaisan - Vice Rector of Kalasin University, new trends in educational management research, as well as the connection to the requirements of promoting growth in the context of globalization based on Thailand's practical experience, can be shared with the University of Economics - UD in its role and mission as a leading educational institution in Central Vietnam.
