The University of Foreign Language Studies - UD organizes the International Chinese Language Day - 2025

On April 27, 2025, University of Foreign Language Studies (UFLS) - the University of Da Nang (UD) held the "International Chinese Language Day 2025" with the theme "A Gift Across Time and Space".
The program was organized by UFLS in collaboration with the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Danang and the Center for Chinese and Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation.

The program was honored to welcome Ms. Dong Bich Du, Consulate General of China in Danang; Ms. Liu Xiaoding, Third Secretary; Mr. Guan Yang, Consular Attaché; representatives from the Vietnam -China Friendship Association of Danang; Professor Dr. Le Quang Son, Vice President of the University of Danang; Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Long, Rector of UFLS - UD; representatives of leaders from: Head of the Student Affairs, Corporate Relations and Communication Department , along with various departments and faculties of the University; representatives from universities in the city that offer Chinese language programs; and more than 300 students, learners, and lecturers of majoring in Chinese studies from the UFLS - UD.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Long - Rector of UFLS - UD, highlighted the significance of this special event. which not only creates opportunities for cultural and linguistic exchange among students and lecturers but also contributes to strengthening people-to-people diplomacy and promoted Vietnam - China friendship for the comprehensive strategic, commemorating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties and marked the 40th anniversary of UFLS’s founding.

The university's leadership stated that UFLS - UD currently has departments specializing in teaching and researching the Chinese language, with nearly one thousands students/learners enrolled, meeting the needs for language and cultural development in various fields such as tourism, commerce, investment attraction, and economic exchange within the context of international integration, guided by the motto: "Culture connects international friends."

On this occasion, the leaders of UFLS - UD would like to sincerely thank the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China, the Center for Chinese and Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation, the friendly organizations of Da Nang city, and the leaders of the University of Da Nang for their constant attention, support, and assistance to the University in the training and research of Chinese language and culture. We hope to continue receiving your attention and companionship in the future.

According to Ms. Dong Bich Du, Consulate General of China in Danang, this is a particularly meaningful activity taking place right after the visit of high-level Chinese leaders, creating opportunities for students and those interested in and attached to the culture and language of the two countries to interact, and explore traditional culture, as the theme of the festival vividly demonstrates the long history connecting China with the world, including its neighbor Vietnam, which is "both comrade and brother."
The representative of the Consulate General shared that the potential for cooperation between the two countries, based on the profound understanding of the senior leaders of China and Vietnam, emphasized an opportunity to strengthen collaboration in education, culture, and people-to-people exchanges, fostering a cultural ties between two countries.

The fesival had the participation of students and lecturers from universities in the area with featuring activities including: the Chinese Calligraphy Competition themed "Letters - The Beauty of Writing," and the Chinese Dubbing Contest with the message "Chinese: A Gift Across Time and Space."
The delegates, students, learners, and teachers had the opportunity to experience unique traditional Chinese cultures, such as calligraphy workshops, Hanfu costume trials, mask painting and watching Face-Changing performances.
