On May 7, 2019, the General Conference of Rectors of French-speaking universities (AUF) members in Asia Pacific (CONFRASIE) was officially opened in Ho Chi Minh City, gathered nearly 100 delegates from 88 universities.

n behalf of UD, Assoc. Prof. Ngo Van Duong gave congratulations to the leaders and staff of the Lao Consulate General in Da Nang on the occasion of the National Day of Lao People's Democratic Republic. "Currently, the number of Lao students studying at UD is nearly 860 students.

After the musical performance, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – President of UD delivered an opening speech to welcome all participants to the conference. President Nguyen Ngoc Vu expressed his pleasure to co-operate with the ASIA-International Biomedical Science Consortium to host this event with the participants of various leading scientists and experts in the whole country and the Asia-Pacific region.
