1. The policy of developing the University of Danang into a National University was included in Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW of the Politburo 

On November 03rd 2022, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the North Central and South Central coast to 2030, with a vision to 2045, including tasks and solutions to develop "the University of Danang into a National University". This is an important and strategically significant premise for the University of Danang to realize great aspirations. 

2. The University of Danang coordinated with the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission and Da Nang City Committee in successfully organizing the National Scientific Conference entitled “Developing service sector in the context of industrialization and modernization of the country to 2030, with a vision to 2045”

The conference provided more scientific arguments, theoretical and practical basis to propose guidelines, models and solutions to develop service sectors, clearly demonstrating the role and mission of the University of Danang to contribute to the development of the region and the country. Along with that were other prestigious international scientific conferences held such as: ICOAF-2022 on Accounting and Finance; IEEE/ACIS-2022 on Big data, cloud computing, and data science; FSMaRT-2022 on Intergrated flood and sediment management in river basin for sustainable development; AtiGB-2022 on Application new technologies in green buildings; Asia-Europe University Education Internationalization Conference... 

3. Launching the project of the Partnership for Higher Education Reform (PHER) with the participation of the University of Danang and Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City 

This is a project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with an amount of nearly 15 million USD to improve capacity and sustainable development cooperation. The launch and participation in this project clearly demonstrates the international position and prestige of the University of Danang known as one of the top three centers of training, scientific research and international cooperation of the country. 

4. Many cooperation agreements with domestic and foreign universities, localities and enterprises were signed and implemented 

The University of Danang has signed cooperation agreements with Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Quang Ngai People's Committee; National Innovation Center (Ministry of Planning and Investment) and prestigious universities in the world such as: Côte d'Azur University (France), Andrews University (USA),  the University of Western Australia (Australia), Westphalian University of Applied Sciences (Germany) ... 

University of Science and Technology, University of Economics (UD) have signed and implemented cooperation agreements with leading universities in engineering and economics in training high-quality human resources, scientific research, serving socio-economic development and international integration. Many cooperation agreements have been signed and implemented with corporations such as Fujikin (Japan), Nam Long ...to promote school-business partnership. 

5. University of Science and Technology - University of Da Nang was honored to receive the Second Class Independence Order of the President 

On November 15th 2022, the President issued a Decision (No. 1337/QD-CTN) to award the Second Class Independence Order to the University of Science and Technology (UD). This is a noble award of the Party and government in order to recognize particularly outstanding achievements in the work, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the fatherland of the university.

6. University of Economics, University of Science and Education, University of Foreign Languages Studies - University of Danang accredited and met the quality standards of educational institutions (the second cycle) and the University of Da Nang had 11 more training programs accredited according to AUN-QA standards 

This result showed that the quality assurance and education accreditation of the University of Danang continued to be focused and invested. Up to now, the University of Da Nang has 49 training programs accredited according to domestic and foreign standards; in the top 03 Vietnamese universities with many accredited training programs, meeting international quality standards with 35 training programs.  

7.  Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology - University of Danang was supported by the Korean Government with ODA project in the period of 2022-2026 

This is an ODA project funded by the Korean Government with 7.7 million USD to improve the capacity of management, teaching and research, promoting digital transformation with the goal of building a digital university in the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution. 

8. The project of the University of Danang’s Urban Area has cleared more than 40 hectares, inaugurated the headquarter building of the University of Technology and Education and the building  for studying, practice and experimentation of the School of Medicine and Pharmacy 

With the support and direction of ministries and central agencies, the support and coordination of localities, the project of the University of Danang’s Urban Area (in Hoa Quy, Dien Ngoc) continues to clear more than 40 hectares (in Da Nang city) and has inaugurated two new construction works, meeting the needs of training and scientific research, creating a new look for univesity and units. 

9. Celebrating 60th years anniversary of construction and development (1962-2022) University of Technology and Education - University of Danang: Marking a journey   

Over 60 years of establishment and development, the university has trained a large number of technicians, technologists and skilled workers to serve the socio-economic development of the central highlands region as well as the country. This event strengthens the cohesion of generations to continue cultivating traditions, affirming prestige and effectiveness of the university in the mission of training high-quality technical-technological human resources in the orientation of application and vocational education. 

10. Staff, lecturers and students of the University of Danang won many awards and excellent achievements 

Lecturer of School of Medicine and Pharmacy (UD) Dr. Phan Le Minh Tu received the Vietnam Golden Globe Award-2022; Students of the University of Science and Technology (UD) won the first prize of the team (in non-specialized block), 01 silver medal, 01 second prize of the 2022 ICPC Asia International Collegiate Programming Contest, Top 3 of the International Energy Efficiency Competition "Shell Eco-Marathon-2022"; Students of the University of Technology and Education (UD) won the second prize of the Euréka Award-2022, the second prize of the Loa Thanh Award-2022; The group of students of University of Economics (UD) won the champion of the contest "Finding New Business Ideas" (GBA Business Challenge-2022),... 

Miss Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy, student of the University of Foreign Languages Studies (UD) was crowned Miss Vietnam 2022 at the prestigious national beauty pageant, traditionally organized by Tien Phong Newspaper, thereby affirming the beauty, wisdom and bravery, contributing to improving the prestige and effectiveness of the University of Foreign Languages Studies and also the University of Danang.
