From 21 to 25 August 2026, the University of Danang - University of Foreign Language Studies (UD -UFLS)  hosted a series of academic workshops led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fernando Poyatos from the University of Seville, Spain. The events were attended by representatives of the University's leadership, lecturers, postgraduate students, and undergraduates from disciplines related to English Language Studies and International Studies.

According to Dr. Huynh Ngoc Mai Kha, Vice Rector of UD - UFLS, the workshop series featured specialized topics of high scientific and practical significance, focusing on Culture, Tourism, Artificial Intelligence applications, research orientations, and communication methods in multicultural environments.

University leadership representatives emphasized that as an institution specializing in education, foreign languages, teacher training, linguistics, culture, and international studies, UD -UFLS consistently prioritizes creating opportunities for both faculty and students to access international cultural and linguistic knowledge. This enables them to enhance their awareness, international integration capacity, and problem-solving mindset regarding national issues with a global perspective amidst the internationalization of higher education.

This event also serves as a bridge fostering engagement among scholars, lecturers, and students, opening up new opportunities to promote academic and research cooperation and exchanges between UD -UFLS and the University of Seville (Spain) in the near future.

During the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fernando Poyatos from the University of Seville highly appreciated the cooperative bond between the two institutions, noting that the event serves as a forum to connect, broaden perspectives, and exchange academic ideas among international peers.

Addressing topics such as the impact of mass tourism on cultural heritage and local socio-economic development, the expert shared insights closely tied to the practical contexts of Da Nang City and Vietnam. These sessions successfully attracted great interest and active interactive discussions from both lecturers and students.

The organization of this workshop series not only enhances academic exchanges between lecturers, students, and international experts but also reaffirms UD -UFLS as a vibrant destination for international integration, linguistic, and cultural exchange activities.
