On March 06, 2026, the University of Danang - University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT) in collaboration with KUKA Vietnam held the Inauguration Ceremony of the Training, Research and Development Center for Industrial Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Speaking at the Ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu, Rector of UD-DUT, emphasized that this is an important milestone in implementing the strategic cooperation agreement between the University and KUKA for the period 2025–2030, aimed at jointly developing high-quality human resources in strategic technology fields such as robotics, AI, automation and smart manufacturing.

The University leadership affirmed its commitment to ensuring qualified human resources and completing training and research programs to make effective use of the facilities and equipment invested in the Center. The Rector expressed the hope that partner enterprises will continue to accompany the University so that the Center will truly become a practical and effective cooperation hub connecting the university and businesses, thereby contributing to enhancing the quality of training and research for sustainable development.

According to Mr. Christoph Schell, CEO of KUKA Global, this cooperation marks a new step forward that reflects the goal and mission of jointly developing human resources in advanced technology sectors, thereby narrowing the gap between the academic environment and modern production practices.

Through this cooperation milestone, KUKA wishes and is honored to accompany UD-DUT in training highly qualified engineering and technology human resources, creating opportunities for students to practice on state-of-the-art equipment and contributing to the development of R&D solutions in robotics and automation, as well as AI applications for the business community in the Central–Highlands region and nationwide.

The Training, Research and Development Center for Industrial Robotics and AI is developed and operated according to an integrated model that combines training and research directly on campus. The Center is equipped with a modern system of industrial and mobile robots, cameras, automatic conveyors, and advanced simulation–control systems, creating opportunities for lecturers and students to keep pace with the demands and trends of accessing Industry 4.0 technologies.
