20/07/2026

On July 19 - 20, 2026, the International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology (CITA-2026) took place in Ha Long, Quang Ninh Province. The event was initiated and chaired by Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), a member of The University of Danang (UD), in collaboration with domestic and international partners.

This marks the 15th edition of CITA, expanding its footprint to a truly international scale. The conference was co-organized by UD - VKU  alongside the ASEAN Consortium for Innovation and Research (ACIR), the Faculty - Institute - School - Association of Information and Communication Technology Vietnam (FISU Vietnam), and Phenikaa University, with sponsorship from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) through an ODA project designated for UD - VKU.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap, Rector of UD - VKU, Head of the Organizing Committee, and Co-founder of ACIR, CITA is a prestigious, traditional academic event held annually. It features a series of academic activities, scientific forums, and networking sessions designed to connect innovation networks across the ASEAN region and internationally.

Marking a momentous 15-year milestone, CITA serves not only as a platform for presenting research findings and transferring new knowledge and technologies, but also as a bridge to expand academic networks among universities, institutes, enterprises, and scientists both domestically and internationally fostering a deeply impactful ecosystem of research and innovation.

CITA-2026 brought together leading scientists and experts in the field. The conference was co-chaired by Prof. D.Sc. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (Poland) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap, Rector of UD - VKU. Key participants included Prof. Dr. Vu Van Truong, Vice President of Phenikaa University; Prof. Dr. Somrerk Chandra-ambhorn, Vice President of King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Thailand; Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Tu, Director of the Institute of Information Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; alongside prominent scholars such as Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy, Prof. Dr. Le Khac Nhien An, Prof. Dr. Kang-Hyun Jo, Prof. Dr. Franck Leprévost, and Prof. Dr. Christian Boitet.

The conference received over 440 paper submissions from researchers, study groups, and authors representing 40 countries and territories. Following a rigorous peer-review process, 156 high-quality papers were selected for publication in Springer’s Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems series, indexed in major databases including Scopus, DBLP, and Web of Science. This achievement further solidifies the conference’s growing academic quality and prestige within the global scientific community.

During the Plenary Session, Prof. D.Sc. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh (Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Poland) delivered a keynote presentation on future trends and research recommendations in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The Plenary Session also featured two key presentations:

Prof. Dr. Kang-Hyun Jo (University of Ulsan, South Korea) delivered a talk titled "Sensor Fusion Based Ambient Understanding for Wider and Unstructured Environment," introducing emerging trends in sensor fusion technologies for intelligent systems.

Prof. Dr. Joshua Zhexue Huang - Academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering, Emeritus Professor at Shenzhen University, and Founding Director of the Big Data Institute presented "Big Data Analytics for Multi-Cloud Data Centers," offering valuable insights into big data analytics within multi-cloud computing infrastructure.

Delegates further engaged in lively discussions on highly topical subjects presented by leading scientists and experts, focusing on artificial intelligence, natural language processing, optimization, and digital transformation.

In addition, the conference featured 20 parallel oral sessions and 04 poster sessions, covering a broad spectrum of cutting-edge topics including data science and artificial intelligence, infrastructure, intelligent systems, sustainable technologies for the digital economy, social innovation, cybersecurity, digital forensics, cryptography, AI, and advanced computing in the digital economy and finance.

Over the past 15 years, the dedicated journey of generations of scientists and experts at CITA in disseminating knowledge and technology has not only reaffirmed the proactive, connecting role of UD - VKU within the global academic network, but also ushered in a new era of growth. This paves the way for the CITA International Conference to further elevate its stature as a far-reaching and impactful academic forum in the region and beyond.
