International Institute of Technology – The University of Danang (DNIIT) held the 2021 FADOTO scientific workshop to research and apply methods of analysing and controlling seafood quality

The recently-held workshop of DNIIT-UD has attracted leader representatives, scientists, experts of DNIIT-UD and its partners.

Overview of the workshop.

This is a meaningful national-level topic which aims to:

(1) Developing a specific database to control some safety attributes of tuna, mackerel, and scad;

(2) Developing a rapid analysis method combining multidimensional data processing and machine learning;

(3) Developing a software system serving the control and warning of quality and safety for the above seafood;

(4) Applying in the supply chain of tuna, mackerel, and scad.

The workshop's participants.

The FADOTO project is coordinated by DNIIT-UD (including lecturers from University of Science and Technology, Vietnam – Korea University of Information Technology and Communication, University of Technology and Education) in collaboration with its partners: Institute of Biotechnology and Food Technology (Hanoi University of Science and Technology), Faculty of Chemistry (University of Science and Technology – Vietnam National University HCMC).

Prof. Le Thanh Nhan signed the FADOTO project's contract in 2020.

According to Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Nhan – Director of DNIIT-UD, the workshop is a good opportunity to connect units and scientists to contribute wisdom, develop knowledge, apply advanced technology to serve practical needs of localities, businesses, especially the handling, warning, quality and safety control for seafood in the supply chain in Vietnam.
