On the morning of July 22, 2022, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) had a meeting with Dr. Nguyen Viet Anh – Director, Training Programs of   Andrews University (USA) in Vietnam. Also attending were representatives of UD's Department of International Cooperation.

At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of UD welcomed the visit of the representative of Andews University, considering this was an opportunity for the two sides to learn and promote cooperation in the context, trend of integration and internationalization of higher education.

Introducing the overview of UD, Vice President of UD Le Quang Son shared that UD is interested and invested in by the Vietnamese Government to become one of the three major training and scientific research hubs and UD has currently been implementing the World Bank's ODA Project and the Partnership for Higher Education Reform project (PHER project) with American partners.

Dr. Nguyen Viet Anh - Director of Training Programs of Andrews University (USA) in Vietnam introduced the outstanding features of Andrews University, which has a long tradition with many international training programs. Andrews University has been cooperating with leading universities in Vietnam such as: Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, National Economics University, Hanoi. The partner shared his expectation  to soon develop a joint training program for the MBA program in Da Nang.

Representatives of leaders of the two universities also exchanged and oriented cooperation in the future, focusing on such topics as: UD would receive visiting professors and volunteers from Andrews University; Andrews University would create opportunities to grant scholarships for lecturers and students of UD; Cooperation of two sides in co-applying forinternational projects and co-organizing the scientific conferences and academic exchanges.

In an atmosphere of understanding and trust, leaders of the two sides noted suggestions to promote cooperation in the coming time. The leaders of UD assigned the Department of International Cooperation to continue to coordinate and work with partners to implement the agreed-upon orientations, including the opening of the MBA training program. Andrews University would research and introduce prestigious and potential universities to cooperate with UD in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, business administration, etc.
