Leaders of the University of Danang visited and congratulated the Consulate General of Laos in Da Nang on the 46th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic

On the morning of November 29, 2021, on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2021), Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Sơn – Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) visited and congratulated the Consulate General of Laos in Da Nang. Mr. Consul General Viengxay Phommachanh and representatives of leaders of relevant units presided over the reception.

Representatives of leaders of UD’s Office of Administrative Affairs, UD’s Department of International Cooperation, UD’s Department of Student Affairs, UD’s Center for Learning Resources and Communication also attended.

On behalf of the leaders of UD, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of UD extended his best wishes to Mr. Consul General Viengxay Phommachanh and all leaders, officers and employees of Consulate General of Laos in Da Nang on the occasion of 46th National Day of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

Vice President of UD Le Quang Son highly appreciated and thanked the interest and cooperation in directing the training of Laotian students at UD. Vice President of UD extended his sincere thanks to the senior leades of Laos awarded the noble award of the Third Class Labor Medal to UD and UD - University of Science and Education.

Vice President of UD believed that, in the coming time, the Consulate General of Laos would continue to support, connect and coordinate to create favorable conditions for enrollment (undergraduate, graduate), training and management for Laotian students at UD's member universities.

With close and effective cooperation between the relevant agencies of the two sides, UD would continue to constantly take care of and create the best conditions for Laotian students, propose the city to support vaccination, ensure the requirements of COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control to be able to organize for Laotian students to return to study after the Lunar New Year in Vietnam, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son shared.

Speaking to the leaders of UD, Mr. Viengxay Phommachanh - Consul General of Laos in Da Nang sincerely thanked the leaders of UD for visiting and congratulating on Laos' great holiday, expressed affection, concern, effectively support and cooperation in training high-quality human resources for the southern provinces of Laos in particular, and developing Vietnam-Laos educational cooperation in general.

The Consul General shared the outstanding achievements of Laos over the past time, especially the efforts in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic in association with socio-economic development, in which education and training played an important role to promote the human factor and the power of knowledge.

The delegates from Consulate General of Laos expressed their wish and believed that with many years of tradition and experience in training international students, UD would continue to care, support, create a convenient environment and conditions for Laotian students to overcome difficulties, study and practice with peace of mind, proactively safely adapt to prevent and control COVID-19 so that when Laotian students graduate from the university, they can contribute to the development of Laos' localities and country.

In a friendly atmosphere, the leaders of the two sides shared happiness, congratulated Lao National Day, acknowledged the proposals and goodwill, affirmed to continually cooperate closely, contributing to the great friendship relationship, the special solidarity and cooperation between the two peoples to last for eternity.
