Project selection announcement of AUF to support universities’ initiatives to contribute to repel the COVID-19 pandemic

Following the success of Phase 1 "Project to support universities’ initiatives to repel the COVID-19 pandemic" in 2020 of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), this year, AUF has just announced the international project selection announcement "AUF-COVID-19.2" to finance scientific research activities in the fields (health, science and technology, social sciences and humanities, economics).
AUF encourages research to assess consequences and propose innovative and effective solutions to repel the COVID-19 pandemic. The project results should be aimed at and impact in the short/ medium term to respond to health protection issues and overcome the consequences of the pandemic.
Total of the grant fund: 1 million EUR.
Limits of project groups:
1. Group A projects (projects with rapid impacts in technical, technological, economic and social fields):
Maximum funding value: 20,000 EUR/project and up to 90% of the total project budget
2. Group B projects (projects with strong impacts or particularly creative ones, reaching national, regional or international stature):
Maximum funding value: 50,000 EUR/project and up to 80% of the total project budget

In 2020, University of Science and Technology – The University of Danang (UD) was honored to be one of four Vietnamese projects selected and funded by AUF (out of 2,000 applications from 79 countries around the world) thanks to its research and manufacturing initiative Robots for serving isolation areas to prevent and control COVID-19 pandemic.
