Overview of the Workshop

The workshop was home to Prof. Tran Van Huy-Vice Chairman of Vietnam Association for Gastrointestinal Sciences, PhD.Doctor Le Viet Nho-Dean of UD-SMP, Director of Medical Center-UD; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Khanh Tuong - Vice Director of the UD-SMP, Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University, leaders of Da Nang Hospital, Sysmex Vietnam Company and more than 80 staff, lecturers, specialists of hospitals in Da Nang city and neighboring localities of the region.

Speaking at the workshop, Prof. Tran Van Huy - Vice Chairman of Vietnam Association for Gastrointestinal Sciences highlighted the workshop's academic and practical significance. This was an opportunity to introduce, exchange and update new knowledge and advanced methods in the diagnosis and treatment of current hepatobiliary disease in Vietnam.

At the workshop, experts presented thematic reports related to hepatobiliary specialty such as: Update diagnosis and treatment of chronic hepatitis; Progress in gastrointestinal tract pathology; Assessment of non-invasive liver fibrosis and the role of M2BPGi ... Reporters were reputable and experienced experts from hospitals including Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University and Danang General Hospital.

The success of the Scientific Workshop hosted and chaired by UD-SMP not only provided the opportunity to exchange, continuously foster medical training to improve the capacity of the doctors, but also contributed to improving the quality of diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal - hepatobiliary diseases for hospitals, medical establishments and Medical Center - UD; affirming prestige of UD-SMP
