Signed the MOU with the Department of Education and Sports of Savannakhet province

From April 1 to 4, the UD-University of Foreign Language Studies delegation had a working visit to the Savannakhet, Champasak and Salavane provinces. At working sessions with Departments of Education and Sports of localities and Champasak University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Long – Vice Rector of UD-UFLS briefly introduced the overview and highlights of UD-UFLS.

High schools in localities of Laos

UD-UFLS’s delegation directly came to advise on admission and career guidance for students of Savannakhet Secondary School, Laos-Vietnam Friendship High School (Savannakhet province), Phonexay High School, and High School of Salavance province, Ong Keo High School and Vietnamese Language Center (Salavane province).

The delegation thoroughly introduced training programs, scholarship policies, incentives, dormitory conditions and satisfactorily answered the issues that students and parents were interested in.

From March 31 to April 4, 2024, MSc. Nguyen To Nhu - Deputy Director and the Delegation of the UD Campus in Kon Tum (UDCK) also had a working visit and joined the Bunpimay New Year with Lao partners such as Department of Education and Sports, Department of Foreign Affairs of SeKong, Champasak, Attapeu, Salavane provinces; Champasak University as well as several businesses (Thaco Agriculture, Thanh Thanh Cong Sugarcane Agris Attapeu) and met with UDCK alumni who were working at agencies and businesses in the Southern provinces of Laos.

According to MSc. Nguyen To Nhu, this was an activity within the framework of implementing cooperation agreements between UDCK and the Departments of Education and Sports of Southern Laos provinces (just signed in early 2024); Actively expanding cooperation in training and supplying high-quality human resources.

Also on the occasion of Laos' traditional Bunpimay festival, 20 Lao international students from the UD-University of Education had just been welcomed to become members of the families of the Women's Union of Lien Chieu district through the model " Second Mother", thereby having more opportunities to learn and experience Vietnamese culture and language.
