Students from VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education – The University of Danang won the second prize in the YouthSpeak National Contest 2021

Recently, the Horizan team from VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK Institute) – The University of Danang (UD) has won the second prize in the YouthSpeak which is a contest for student teams from universities across the country.

YouthSpeak is a contest within the framework of the “Young Voices Forum” project which aims to emphasize the role of students and young people in jointly proposing ideas and achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.

The Horizan team includes 3 students: Le Van Tu, Nguyen Xuan Quynh, Le Hong Long under the mentorship of Mr. Truong Cong Trung – Head of Human Resource Department of Unilever Vietnam.

At the YouthSpeak 2021’s final round, thanks to the application of knowledge and technology to simulate an online-based company which provides necessary skills for students through internship programs, VNUK Institute’s Horizan team convinced the jury and was awarded the second prize for their new ideas and solutions for young people’s skills improvement.

According to Le Van Tu, leader of the Horizan team, thanks to learning and practicing the subject of Design Thinking in VNUK Institute’s Foundation program as well as the encouragement and support of lecturers and mentors, the team came up with effective ideas and solutions to meet the criteria of the contest.

The excellent performance of the Horizan team demonstrated the training quality and the dynamic, creative academic environment of VNUK Institute that is striving to become an international university in the future.
