From March 23 to 25, 2022, at the Vietnam Olympiad in Informatics Contest for students (OLP Contest) and the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC Asia Contest, Asia round in Hanoi), students of the University Danang (UD) have achieved many outstanding achievements.

At the OLP Contest, students of the University of Danang - University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT) won: 01 Team First Prize for the non-specialist in Informatics; 02 Second Prizes for the specialist in Informatics for individuals (Vo Dac Bao Anh, Le Phuoc Anh Kha); 02 Second Prizes for the non-specialist in Informatics for individuals (Tran Viet Son, Tran Thi Hong Nhung), 01 Third Prize for the non-specialist in Informatics for individuals (Nguyen Thanh Minh) and 01 Consolation Prize for the specialist in Informatics.

Students of Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (UD-VKU) won: 01 First Prize in Open Source Software (UD-VKU team 01); 01 Second Prize for the non-specialist in Informatics for individuals (Nguyen Huu Thuc); 01 Third Prize for the specialist in Informatics for individuals (Truong Cong Danh); 02 Consolation Prizes for the specialist in Informatics for individuals (Ho Minh Phi, Nguyen Chon Uy).

Students of the University of Danang - University of Science and Education (UD-UED) won: 01 Third Prize for the non-specialist in Informatics for individuals (Nguyen Thi Nhu Kieu), 02 Consolation Prizes for the non-specialist in Informatics for individuals (Mai Van Hau, Vo Thi Phuong Loan).

It was the first time that the Faculty of Digital Technology of the University of Danang - University of Technology and Education (UD-UTE) had had 03 students majoring in Information Technology who attended and won 02 Consolation Prizes for the non-specialist in Informatics for individuals (Ngo Nhat Duong, Ho Thai Binh).

At the ICPC Asia Contest, students of the UD-DUT excellently won: 01 Team First Prize for the non-specialist in Informatics (BKDN.Real Team); 01 Silver Medal (BKDN.Natural Team) and 01 Second Prize (BKDN.Complex Team), 01 Third Prize (BKDN.Interger Team). This was a prominent mark of the students of UD-DUT in the prestigious "playground" of information technology programming at the continental level.

Thus, UD students have excellently won 19 prizes in different categories of OLP and ICPC Asia Contests, of which students of UD-DUT won 09 prizes; students of UD-VKU won 05 prizes; students of UD-UED won 03 prizes; students of UD-UTE won 02 prizes.

OLP and ICPC Asia Contests are annual, prestigious events at the national and international level for students of universities, colleges, institutes nationwide, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Information and Communication, Ministry of Science and Technology and Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations jointly organized.

This year's OLP and ICPC Contests have 05 categories (team/ individual prizes) including: Super Cup, Non-specialist in Informatics, College and Open Source Software. These contests aim to discover, foster and honor young Vietnamese IT talents; select excellent teams and individuals to participate in regional and international contests.

For many years continuously, students of UD's member universities have achieved high results in OLP and ICPC contests, affirming the quality and experience in training information technology in particular, the quality of training and long tradition of UD in general. UD is really one of the leading prestigious universities providing high-quality human resources for the country to develop and integrate for the Industrial Revolution 4.0.
