Students of The University of Danang - University of Foreign Language Studies won excellent awards at the Korean Speaking Contest-2021  in Central Area of Vietnam

 

The final round of the Korean Speaking Contest 2021 in the Central Region attracted a lot of Korean language learners from several provinces and cities (Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai). Students and alumni of Faculty of Korean Language and Culture of the University of Danang - University of Foreign Language Studies (UD-UFLS) had excellently won: 01 First prize (Le Doan Thong), 02 Second prizes (Tong Phuoc Nguyet Anh, Nguyen Thi Hoa) and 02 Third prizes (Nguyen Tran Thien Nguyet and Phan Thi Ngoc Yen).

This contest was a meaningful event organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Da Nang on the occasion of the 575th anniversary of the Korean day, providing an opportunity for exchanging Korean language and culture, improving the ability of Korean learning and speaking in the context of strengthening the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Korea, attracting many Korean enterprises to invest in the central region and Vietnam.

The contest consists of 02 topics: "The Korean culture which I love" and "My experience of Korea" for candidates of 02 groups: candidates who had studied Korean for less than 2 years and the ones who had studied for more than 2 years.

Recently, UD-UFLS had officially issued the Decision on the establishment and appointment of leadership of the two Faculties, namely Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture and Faculty of Korean Language and Culture. This was a vivid evidence to mark the development and maturity of the training programs on Korean, Japanese, and Thai languages, meeting the needs of training human resources with foreign language skills to serve the community and enterprises, attracting the international investment and integration, said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Phuc, Rector of UD-UFLS.
