Recently (May 14), the STRIVE competition team of The University of Danang – University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT) excellently won the First Prize (Effective Solution) at the Final Round of the Technical Project - eProject Innovaion Showcase 2024 with the project "Methods for measuring, managing and directly evaluating waste sludge moisture during the operation of Frame-Plate Press equipment".

Overcoming 06 teams competing in the Final round, STRIVE Team of UD-DUT included students: Nguyen Thanh Phuc - 20C1C (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering); Tran Ngoc Hanh Nguyen -23SHYD & Tran Anh Khoa - 21SH1 & Hoang Thi Ni Na - 20SH2 (Faculty of Chemistry); and Phung Thi Anh - 21TCLC-DT2 (Faculty of Information Technology) with the companionship of mentor lecturers (Dr. Le Ly Thuy Tram, Dr. Nguyen Van Minh , Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hanh), team excellently won the first prize with a bonus of $300.

According to a representative of STRIVE Team, the group has researched and developed a technology product that is a system to support the operation of frame-plate press with resistance-based humidity sensors to apply warnings when humidity is unsatisfying in the operation of the frame-plate press, and at the same time monitoring and storing necessary data every time the machine is used.

eProject Innovaion Showcase is a creative academic "playground" under the Technical Innovation program under the Building University-Industry Learning and Development through Innovation and Technology Project (BUILD-IT) sponsored by USAID and the Dow Vietnam STEM program.

This project in recent years has contributed to arousing the spirit of innovation and technology application among students in universities, especially engineering and technology sectors.
