The final round of “Innovative Technology Entrepreneurship the University of Danang 2021” contest: Spreading the spirit of innovation 4.0

On the evening of November 18th, the Student Association of the University of Danang (UD) held the final round of the "Innovative Technology Entrepreneurship the University of Danang-InTE 2021" in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control.

The final round at UD
This was a "playground" for students who were passionate about startups in the field of Technology, which was first initiated by UD's Student Association, attracting a large number of students from high schools, colleges and universities in Da Nang with more than 80 innovative ideas, projects and products.

InTE-2021 was also one of the events in the Cooperation Agreement for the period of 2022-2025 between UD and Danang Department of Science and Technology, which had just been signed with the sponsorship and companionship of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), Hai Van Branch and Viettel-CHT Company Limited.

At the ceremony, Vice President Ngo Van Duong had highlighted the important role and significance of creating favorable environment and innovative ecosystem at UD’s member universities and affiliated units, associating with the young creative movement of students in Da Nang, of which InTE-2021 was one of the key events and activities.

“This contest is a motivation to ignite the passion for the creative research of students in a practical and effective way, contributing to improve the quality of training and scientific research. Students will be ready to actively integrate and begin their startup in the 4.0 era", shared UD’s Vice President Ngo Van Duong.

Students of UD-DUT won the first prize
At the final round, 09 excellent teams (passed the 03 challenging rounds) competed through 02 contests: Idea presentation, Start-up project and thesis defense with the review of the Jury Council consisting of prestigious experts in the field of innovation and start-up, namely: Dr. Nguyen Thi My Huong- Rector of UD – VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education; Dr. Pham Hong Quat-Director cum expert of Ministry of Science and Technology; Dr. Vu Thi Bich Hau-Deputy Director of Danang Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Phan Quan - Founder and Chairman of Viet Startup Exchange and Dr. Nguyen Quang Nhu Quynh, lecturer of UD-DUT.

Awarding the third prize for project “Protect us-Utilities for personal protection in cyberspace”
In the end, UD-DUT’s students won the first prize (Scoat technology jacket) and received VND 15 million and a Certificate of Merit from UD's Student Association.
The second prize was granted to students from UD-DUT, UD – Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (UD-VKU), UD- University of Foreign Language Studies (UD-UFLS) (the AnCV mobile application) with VND 07 million/ prize and the Certificate of Merit from UD’s Student Association.

Techwind and Connect clinics and patients projects
The third prize belonged to the group of students from UD-DUT, UD-University of Economics (UD-DUE) (Protect us - Utilities for personal protection in cyberspace) with 04 million VND/ prize and the Certificate of Merit from UD's Student Association.
02 Consolation prizes were granted to the group of students from UD – University of Technology and Education (UD-UTE) (Techwind); UD-DUT, UD-DUE (Connect clinics and patients) with 02 million VND/prize and the Certificate of Merit from UD's Student Association.

Awarding "Shark Vương" for FPT high school
The "Shark Vương" belonged to FPT High School (Illuminati one - A friend of the blind, the elderly and all families) with 1.5 million VND.
02 "Viettel Prize" were awarded to the group of students from UD-DUT (Scoat technology jacket) UD-DUT, UD-VKU, UD-UFLS (AnCV mobile app) with 5 million VND/prize.
