The France-Viet Nam Cultural Exchange Festival 2022 at the University of Danang- University of Foreign Language Studies

 

            The University of Danang – University of Foreign Language Studies (UD-UFLS) in collaboration with the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organizations, the Da Nang branch of France - Viet Nam Friendship Association and French Institute in Danang organized the France-Viet Nam Cultural Exchange Festival 2022 with a wide range of fascinating cultural exchange activities, including Francophone football tournament, ‘Ring the golden bell’ contest, Olympiads, a drawing contest, and French food stalls.

            Attending the festival were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh – Chairman of the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organizations; Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – UD’s President; Prof. Dr. Sc. Bui Van Ga – Former President of UD cum Former Vice Minister of Ministry of Education and Training; Mr. Mai Tan Linh – Vice Director of Danang Department of Education and Training; Mr. Samuel Delameziere – Director of French Institute in Danang, Dr. Dao Thi Thanh Phuong  - Chairman of the Da Nang branch of France - Viet Nam Friendship Association of Danang city cum Chairman of UD-UFLD Council; Dr. Huynh Ngoc Mai Kha – Vice Rector of UD-UFLS together with a large number of staff, lecturers, students of UD-UFLS and high schools/secondary schools/primary schools teaching French in ​​Da Nang.

Mr. Samuel Delameziere-Director of French Institute in Danang shared his idea

            The annual France-Viet Nam Cultural Exchange Festival 2022 provides a good opportunity for local students to learn more about the culture of France as well as join in exciting cultural exchange activities. This significantly contributed to promote the movement of learning French in the city and deepen the traditional friendship and strategic cooperation between Vietnam and France.

            According to the Da Nang branch of the France - Viet Nam Friendship Association, an array of exchange activities and programs between the two countries would be scheduled to take place in the city in 2022.

Awarding the First Prize of the French Football Championship for UD-University of Science and Technology

            “This is an affirmation of the cultural diversity of the Francophone community, including the development of the cooperation environment of French language teaching and learning and cultural exchanges over the past time in Da Nang in general, UD and UD – UFLS in particular” said Dr. Dao Thi Thanh Phuong.

            On this occasion, the Organizing Committee highly acknowledged and gave sincerely thanks to the active cooperation of partners such as Embassy of the French Republic to Vietnam, Danang International Institute of Technology (DNIIT) and universities/ high schools/French language clubs for accompanying and supporting the festival.

Awarding prizes to high school students on the occasion of Francophone International Day

 

            At the closing and awards ceremony for the festival, the organizers awarded first, second, third and consolation prizes to outstanding students citywide who participated in exchange activities during the 2-day festival.

            According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh, the friendship activities and people-to-people diplomacy ones of Da Nang city towards the French partners over the past time had a long-lasting tradition and always were strengthened and developed in many fields, in which UD would continue to be a prestigious and reliable place for training and scientific research on French language and culture, making active contributions to the development of the Vietnam-France strategic partnership cooperation.
