On the morning of October 3, 2024, at the University of Danang (UD), the Announcement Ceremony and Awarding of the Decision to recognize the Rector of the UD - University of Technology and Education (UD-UTE) for the term 2020-2025 (according to the term of the University Council) took place for Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Le Hung.

At the Ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu - Member of the City Party Committee, President of UD presented Decision No. 4068/QD-UD dated September 27, 2024 recognizing Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Le Hung as Rector of UD - University of Technology and Education, term 2020-2025, according to the term of the University Council.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu - President of UD highlighted the significance of the event for the development of UD-UTE; congratulated and shared his joy with UD-UTE and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Le Hung.

The President of UD acknowledged and thanked the leadership and key staff of the UD-UTE, especially Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Cao Tho - former Rector of UD-UTE, with a high sense of responsibility, who actively directed the implementation of the new Rector's personnel process in a democratic, methodical, and regulated manner, ensuring the generational transition took place smoothly and successfully.

The President of UD said that over the past 10 years, under the leadership of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Cao Tho, UD-UTE has achieved extremely important results in many aspects of work, especially the number of lecturers with doctoral degrees or higher which has increased rapidly each year (currently reaching nearly 42% compared to the national average of 31%); many young lecturers have been trained abroad.

UD-UTE has focused on innovating content, programs, and teaching methods in an application-oriented manner based on close connection with businesses through the "business semester", taking advantage of business support for development; promoting enrollment, increasing training scale, opening many new training majors/ specializations to meet social needs.

Scientific research and international cooperation are the highlights of UD-UTE when organizing many national and international conferences with practical topics, attracting the attention of scientists from universities, businesses and managers; implementing many international projects and exchange programs for lecturers and students... becoming a destination trusted and chosen by international partners and businesses for cooperation.

The President of UD emphasized that one of the outstanding results that left a strong impression of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Cao Tho was his great contribution in establishing UD-UTE (on the basis of UD - College of Technology), contributing to realizing the dreams of many generations of lecturers and students of UD-UTE.
